eh well unless youre on a pretty tight diet having low electrolytes is usually self remedied, since you crave saltier stuff and usually eat it. unless there are some very weird circumstances, your body will also compensate by reabsorbing more electrolytes in the kidney (ie less concentrated urine, but more of it).
i dont really think youre going to have drama unless youre almost forcing yourself to drink more. there are people out there (myself included) who drink up to 3 galons a day (i have a 1L glass and i refill that eeeeeeeasy 6 times just at night)
to answer the question directly...depends on the person, and their exercise/diet habits over time
