How much slin after workout?

well i am assuming you understand how insulin works and the different "peaking levels" of each type of insulin preperation...but typically one would start with 2 ius pwo and increase there dose from there as the assess their tolerance...

however, i am giving you the benfit of the doubt that you understand more than you posted because slin will KILL you if you don't use it correctly....it is the most dangerous drug of everything we use...research and be safe bro
 
i got up to 10 ius per day. I took humalin r and got better results than when i took humalog. Make sure you eat plenty of carbs and have some simple sugars on hand such as soda or candy just incase.
 
i avoid humalin r unless you are just straight bulking and don't mind fat gain....slin levels are elevated to long...for bb'ing humalog is best since it will give you a slin boost during your anabolic window pwo then return to normal levels so fat storage stays as less as possible.
 
Very dangerous stuff bro. Have diabetic glucagon (glucose) on hand.

You need to follow it up with plenty of carbs, then follow that with some protein - like a protein shake. I didn't see anyone mention protein.

If you don't follow it with protein you will just store fat.
 
Start low like Vascular suggests.
Lately I've been getting hypo on as little as 6iu. I think I'm over carbing with fruit juice (always mixed with whey protein). Back in my 338 lb days I used 10 iu twice a day. Even when you've done everything right, your body can still have a adverse reaction.

most people start at 5iu , see how it goes if it goes well up it by 1-2 iu untill you start feeling like shit and make sure you have 10g of carb per iu of slin
 
When did yall start to see the benefits of using? I have access to insulin at work. it is novilin R. I have thought about it but unsure if the benefits outwiegh the sides.
 
Now i use 14 i.u Slin after my workout,but i will go higher,i do not no know how high but i think 20 i.u is my max.After my slin injevtion i drink 10g Dextrose per i.u and 50-60 Whey,at home i eat 125g rice and 60-120g protein and 2 hours later a shake with 50g carbs and 50 g Whey.Sinc i started Slin i fell like my muscle are growing and growing.Sorry for m english
 
I've gone hypo on 6 IU's before.

And soda isn't a quick source of carbs as someone else mentioned. Neither is candy. High-fructose corn syrup and sucrose are not simple sugars. Don't think you can rely on this stuff if you aren't experienced and know how different sugars and sugar combinations effect you.

High-fructose corn syrup =/= fructose.

soda will give you an immediate bump in sugar. But as soon as the insulin eats through that you will bottom out again. You needs short acting carbs as well as the complex with some fatty food to help "counteract" the dose fo insulin.
 
From a Type I diabetic who has no choice but to inject insulin, alot of you guys are playing with fire. Many of you have posted taking more quick-acting insulin than most people need in an entire day. I know you probably eat like a pig, but you don't have to be off by too much to cause a real problem. And the longer you use insuling the less your body gives signs it is in trouble. I hope it is worth the risk for you guys.
 
i just started using a little novalog at 2 iu's pwo and everytime i still "bonk" out like someone phrased it.....to the point where i am sweating, dizzy, numbness in my mouth etc....fckn sucks....its a simple solution by just eating the correct amount of carbs ahead of time...BUT for me i am stubborn and am trying to get by on the least carbs as possible...def not something i'd reccomend except for the experienced guru who can read there body signs to a T
