How Much Protien at a Sitting?

I'd say about 50g per sitting is about right. DT, did you notice a big diff when takin ginger root, I mean with gas and digestion related issues?

I did notice a diff, but it wasn't night and day...enough to keep using it.

I also notice a slight difference when using Ginger with high protein. The afstore has it on sale for $5 for 240 tabs cause they have a large stock of it. for a price like that get yourself some bottles.

I injest 160g of protein from 200g of CFM whey concentate powder every day and about the same g's from solid food. Half of that powder (80g of protein) goes into my post workout shake with 2 scoups of Celltech. Sometimes I get diorrea a little bit, but hey!

I once saw 280lb IAN HARRISON drink a 130g of isolate protein in his post workout shake and he didn't seem to mind it!

i dont see why theres is such a fuss. you cant really go too wrong with highish protein, even if your body does not take it up and keep it in the form of a protein or amino acid (either by using it to repair tissue, or adding it to the various pools of labile protein in the body) then it will use it as energy in a manner similar to that of your other macronutrients

i think the benefit of extra satiety after eating protein and the constant availability of protein for use in repair and growth more than offsets the harm of eating "too much" protein and having to metabolise it to a useable molecule - im thinking biochemical stress, using up of various cofactors etc, and kidney issues.

overall for a BBer, too much is way better than too little, and id rather make the error in that vein

ill be honest though, im a glutton...i often take in over 150 grams in a sitting ( ;) )

You must spread some Karma around before giving it to GoldenDelicious again.
