I would never go for 90-100 grams in one sitting because its so much damn money to be spending on food.
BW x 1.5 is the way to go. Take that number and split it across 6 meals and blam. You are set.
You weigh more because you have more muscle, therefore, your body needs more protein.
Simple really, if your at 270lbs. You should be having 300g as a minimum imo,
I'd prob up it to around 350 if I were you.
