How much is really absorbed from a shake...

I don't like these types of threads.

They bother me.

1. everyone is different (weight is directly related to caloric needs... what 120lb dude can consume and hope to digest is different from a 230lb guy needs just to function on a fitness level)

2. People think too much.

3. Salmonella... I have yet to read horror stories about people getting it from egg whites. Buy egg beaters if she's that worried.

4. Eat healthy, eat lots of meats and veggies, clean carbs (potatoes, brown rice, ect) and spice it all up

You need an idea what your requirements are... the michael and kendra elias calculator would be a good tool for you to start out, if you can't find it searching i'll see if i can find it.

Use www.fitday.com to track your intake.

And max amount of shakes: IMO depends on what kind of "shake" your using... there are other options besides the commerical GNC type stuff that make better all around use for our bodies.

Thanks for the info. Typically I throw the egg whites in with 2 scoops of Dymatize Eliete Whey and my oats. I know what to eat but I'm still putting all the peices together so I can make a diet plan, food shopping list ect. So basically I've never eaten this way before but want to.

I know I'm not eating right because a week after I start "eating clean" I start getting sick. I know I need some more good fats, more veggies and learn how to manage the exact amounts. What can I say.....I'm a work in progress :)

I struggle eating that much food. I'll stop now...Keep my current thread on target and post more questions when I'm putting my meal plan together.

I'll see what I can find out about the "michael and kendra" and PM you if I can't find anything. Thanks for the help thus far.
