An average home gym is $1000-5000 but depends on the equipment you get.

how much do you think a decent home gym will cost me. I have about $4,000 saved up so far and I would like to purchase some items for my garage. This space I have to work with is about 350 square feet (2 car garage) so I think it's enough space to put in a decent gym

The best thing you can do is look for used equipment. So many people will sell it at a low price to get the space back. Used weights weight the same as new weights, lol

You should be able to get some nice used equipment for that amount.
