I'm currently doing isometric stretching 3 times a week to work on my lower body flexibility for martial arts (I want to be able to kick at head height from the side as well as the front). Oh, and I quite fancy being able to do the splits :).

I'm using the stretch training advice in Thomas Kurz's Stretching Scientifically book. It's working a treat.

Not as much as I should, but I do stretch before the workout for those specific muscle groups. I really need to increase my shoulder flexibility, and some hip/lower back flexibility would be nice too.

No stretching pre-workout. Just warm-up exercises. I stretch for 15-20 minutes post-workout. I also like to do a Yoga session every once in a while. That can be a lot of stretchin'!

I warmup first then stretch for about 15 minutes before my workout. I will stretch during my workout, too. Then cooldown and stretch some more. :D I've gotten really flexible over the years and can do splits on both sides except I can't do the front split ("Chinese" style) yet. I am working on it, though.

10 or so minutes post-workout. I follow a fixed set of stretches/poses and usually intend to hold them for longer than I do. I should be stretching upwards of 15 minutes, so I guess I need to concentrate on holding them longer.

I occasionally stretch at other times throughout the day. If I'm feeling tight/sore, or have been doing any other form of activity (eg. I might stretch after taking the dog for a walk or doing household chores), I sometimes stretch. Not often enough though.

Pre-running I do mobility drills. I use warm-up sets during weights.

I need to improve my flexibility for injury prevention purposes, so I really should try to stretch more.

the problem is with streching is that most people dont hold the strech for very long...u need to hold the strech for at least 30sec tfor it to be beneficial..people who don't kno any betetr usually hold it for less than 10..;D
