Not as much as I would like. During the week, I get about 7 hours per night, but by Thursday, I am pretty whooped, and I always take a two or 3 hour nap Thursday after work. And I also take a 2 hour nap every Saturday and Sunday. When I was in college, I slept 9 hours per night, except for the times I was working in a bar, then I slept 5 hours at night and 3 or 4 during the day.
As you get older, you will need less and less sleep. Ever notice how early your grandma and grandpa get up? That is not a hold over from their work effort gained during the depression. They just don' t need as much sleep as you do. Anyone that trains and is less than 21 or so could probably stand to have at least 9 hours of sleep per day.
Just my 2 cents.
