IMO seated is harder then standing even without any drive.

I can press more seated with a barbell vs. Standing with a barbell. A lot of these guys claiming 275-315 pound "military" presses would crumble if they tried this standing. I've been around a lot of strong fuckers and I've never seen anyone Standing strict press 315 + pounds.

seated or standing 315 is no easy task. I don't know why but when i am sitting i can't tighten my core like i can when i am standing!

My best standing strict military press was 392 lbs. I never tried any more than that, and now that im not as strong as before, I wish I would have tried 400lbs, just to say that I did it. Oh well. I also did a standing "cheat" military, or push press, with 440lbs. Best reps as near as I can remember was 265lbs for a set of 10, dont think that was quite max, but it was the most I ever did.

Hey thanks for stopping by!!!

I did standing military in high school but I was a meager 160lbs of bones. I only do the seated now due to the gym I am at and my old age. LOL However, last week I did do 275x9 with spot. I can almost seated military more than I can bench. WTF is up with that?
