next time I'll spell check. :D

nothing gets it going like running outside, treadmills are totaly different unless you put the incline at a minimum of 5. I personaly hate running outside so I use the gay eliptucal machines with the arm things and jack the level up.

my $.02

i didnt spell check again.

brisk walking is usually best. your fat cells are hard to tap into. when you run you need energy quicker, so your body will go to the easiest source, which is the glycogen stored in your muscles. thats why runners usually arent very firm. when im cutting up for a contest i will do 30min at 4-5miles per hourat the end of each workout. works for me.

find your target heart rate , need info on that let me know, then do about 40 minutes after a workout or 1st thing in the am.

10 minutes at 60 % target heart rate, then bump it to 80%, every 5 minutes drop it 65-70%. This will keep you Aerobic (w/ oxygen using fats for energy) at your level of fitness... go to high, no oxygen, means no fat burning. you MUST have oxygen to burn fat. So dont go overboard. good thing about THR training is it is for your own fitness level!! you will see thaT after a few weeks, you actually have to go faster to reach your heart rate. this is the result of cardiopulmonary conditioning!!

I'm off to train, when i egt back i'll post a good piece on this process!

I gotta go with pump it on this one. Did you know that you burn the exact same amt of calories running a mile as walking??? The reason people run is because it is less time consuming. I have to jog at least 6.5 mph in order for me to feel like i am actually working. Now, I havent got that great of results either, but mainly b/c of my diet. I just dont have the appitite to eat 5-6 meals a day. I used twin labs mass fuel for protein, each serving filled an entire blender, and only gave me 42 grams of protein. I dont know that many people that could finish 3 blender sized chocolate shakes and still have room for (chicken, steak, fish) a natural source of protein. You're supposed to eat 1-1.5 grams of protein per lb of bodyweight, so thats like 3 shakes and 60-140 more grams of protein (me weighing in at 175). I just cant eat that much. I also cant figure out that when i take a fat loss supplement (ie xenadrine (now taking zenotrope), the hunger suppressant in the pills make me so full i can maybe get down 1 tiny meal a day. I heard that not eating causes your body to store everything if it feels threatened by starvation. I dont want my body to start looking to eat my muscles as a source of energy, instead of body fat. Well, it maybe a lost cause, but there is my "2 cents".

You separate your levels of intensity (1 being a slow walk, 10 being the fastest you can sprint). You start level one for one min, then do level two for 1 min, then back to level 1 for one min, then to level three for 1 min, then back to level one for 1 min, and so on. Now, I havent got that great of results either, but mainly b/c of my diet. I just dont have the appetite to eat 5-6 small meals a day. Sorry for the double post (even though the second post has added content, and i did hit the stop button before the original post went through, please see my username if any concerns arise.

I jump on the treadmill and pump the incline up to 9. Do some speed walking up hill. Do this for 45 minutes on an empty stomah. I've gotten extremely defined with this and a good diet. NO AS at all.

I stay pretty ripped up year round by constantly switching up my cardio intensity/exercises. I like to jog/run on a treadmill on a medium incline, sprint then walk in intervals, walk on a very high incline, or use the Gauntlet stair master which is very difficult at times. Very occasionally I will use the eliptical things, but usually there are way too many sorority girls waiting to get on it. Always monitor your h.r. to make sure you are in a fat burning zone.

Shredder is pretty much dead on!!

but , if the sorority girls are waiting, why not get a quick pump in on one of em while their waiting? get s the blood flowin....he he
