How many sets do you do per bodypart? Everyone respond.

I usually only do 8-10 sets per bodypart, split into 2 sets each of 4-5 different exercises. How many sets do you do?

I do 4 sets per excersise, sometimes 5 with a warmup, im not making progress so im going to drop my sets, and take cakeros advice. My friend does 10 sets for his calves and they are huge, I guess its what works for you. If i drop my sets im dropping the reps to and increasing the weight. I hope that works for me.

In the last year and a half, i have been doing anywhere from 10-16 sets per body part. I really like the volume training. Previous to this i was doing about 6 sets for the first three years i lifted and my gains stopped. Although if u can't get a lot of rest when doing this high volume training than your screwed.

I recommend trying both low volume and high volume training for atleast 6-8 weeks each and see which u like more.

Hey I totally agree, in the arnold encycolpedia he does anywhere from 4 - 6 sets per excersise, and he was the best...so i dont know

I meant 5 sets an exercise, read wrong sorry. Depends on the body part how many exercises i do. I do probably around 20 or 25 sets for chest 10 or 15 for arms, and 15 for back and shoulders.

I'm currently bulking but haven't put on too much fat. I've nearly lost sight of all my abs...~sob sob~..haha...i still have my top two!...

right now it's 20 sets for chest, back, shoulders and legs. 16 for arms (bis/tris) It used to be 25 for larger groups and 20 for small. I always do ten sets of calves, 5 for each of any exercise.

i tell my clients or people wanting advice,
do 4sets of 4 exercises for big bodyparts and 3sets of 3 exercises for small bodyparts

Chest: 7 sets
Tri: 3-5 sets
Quads: 4-6 sets
Hams: 2-4 sets
Back: 8-10 sets
Shoulders: 3-6 sets
Bi's: 3-6 sets
Calves: 1-3 sets
Grip: 6-8 sets per week

Lots of event training.

I am a newbie to "real" lifting, but...

I do 8-10 sets split up in 2-3 exercises, for each body part.

My biceps were so freaking sore last bi+back day that my subsequent workouts suffered...so I may drop the biceps down to 4-6 sets.
