That is one of the most pervasive bodybuilding myths. There is no data, to my knowledge, that suggests that is the maximum amount a healthy, young athlete can digest and process in one sitting. I don't even know of a study that has even tried to determine the amount. The best answer I ever got from any professor was, "It varies."platinum ice said:Seems like I read somewhere that your body can't process more than 33g of protein at once. Surely that must be wrong. Anyone heard anything along those lines?
Anyways, I hit the shakes about 3x day.
