How many protein shakes per day?

Seems like I read somewhere that your body can't process more than 33g of protein at once. Surely that must be wrong. Anyone heard anything along those lines?

Anyways, I hit the shakes about 3x day.
That is one of the most pervasive bodybuilding myths. There is no data, to my knowledge, that suggests that is the maximum amount a healthy, young athlete can digest and process in one sitting. I don't even know of a study that has even tried to determine the amount. The best answer I ever got from any professor was, "It varies."

Peanut butter doesn't have that great a fatty acid profile when it comes to EFA's and the protein quality is poor. It's a calorie dense food for those who have a hard time getting enough but so are all nuts, walnuts are a good source of linolenic acid; I prefer to get my fats from fish or flax.

I'm not on the ANPB bandwagon either. If i'm going to take in fats intentionally they're going to be oils.
Most meat has 120-130 grams of protein per lb so a chicken breast, even a large one, would likely not be 50 grams of protein. I'd say closer to 30-35.

Bulking I take 3 per day- ON chocolate w/milk
Cutting I take 3 per day- Prima Force WPI w/water

I usually take my first one about 2 hours after breakfast. Then I'll take one 15 mins before workout. And the other 15 mins after workout...then of course followed by a healthy meal

ok well i said low sugar ice cream.

i put on about 22 pounds of muscle and about 5 pounds of fat in my last cycle so get over yourself, it works

Some people don't understand what some people have to do to put on weight. I'm the same way, I'll eat whatever I have to as long as it is HIGH cals just to put on weight. My appetite isn't big enough to waste on low calories foods.

In the morning I make one big shake with 4 scoops of protein in water and sip that thru the day as needed.

I have read similar myths as well. I been known to eat 150 in one sitting... You just need fiber, and lots of digestive enzymes to get the food broken down
