How many people die from steriods per year?

As intelligent as you sound, I'm not quite sure if you grasp the idea of an opinion. But now we are deviating from the subject so I'll get us back on course.

If you want to say that steroids have no negative affects on the human body, so be it. But you are wrong! Maybe they don't kill people, but I'm sure they've had something to do with a good number of people's deaths.

You might say that these people abused steroids or had no business using them because of lack of knowledge. But the question didn't read "How many well-informed people that researched steroids to great length have died from steroid usage?"

We are born with a certain amount of specific hormones for a reason. When you mess with that delicate balance of hormones you are asking for trouble. The user must weigh the Pros and cons of using gear and make an educated choice.

I think eveeryone on this board will agree with what I am saying. We all know there are risks involved.

Maybe you will smarten up and respond in a more civilized manner next time. Then again...maybe not!

Most everybody on thisis a stupid fuck. And there is no comparison between AIDS & Steroids you stupid shit. God Damnit people like you piss me the fuck off. I bet you believe in Aliens too......space ships.....fairy god mother......easter bunny.......santa....having sex with family members...low educated tard. How many times does this board have to repeat everything every 13 fucking days? Is that a majic fucking number?

I think what he meant by saying it was similar to AIDS is that gear doesn't directly kill you, similar to aids in that it has negative effects that might eventually kill you. It's not as severe or as common as aids but I think you get the picture (if you are half as smart as you think you are). What does beleiving in santa and easter bunny have to do with anything?? are you that ignorant that you think that gear has no bad effects? Of course it has negative side effects otherwise it would be legal and everyone would use it. And what are you talking about this board repeats itself every 13 days? where did you get that number from or did you just make it up or something? have you even been a member for 13 days, you just joined a few days ago didn't you?
Seriously dude you sound like a huge moran, stop posting on these boards so you don't make yourself look like an even bigger idiot. :lmao: :lmao:

Opinion still has to be based on fact. My major is Poli Sci & History West Civ........you think I'm going to respect the opinion of somebody who majored in Accounting as to the reasoning of the Decline & Fall of the Roman Empire? Fuck no.......his opinion is based on an old fucking movie.
Now I respect Edward Gibbon's theory (Writer of the book 'Decline & Fall of the Roman Empire'), because he is a historian & has what he believes are solid facts. Though I believe he is completely incorrect & I think it was because his thesis is biased of Atheism.

I'm believe stats.....not guesses......stats.......if you believe that steroids cause or contribute to health problems when taken properly......then you did not know that now Longevity Clinics are now prescribing Testosterone to men over 40 to boost their health, immune system, libido, healing, etc.......the list is endless. Research all the people that died while on steroids & I bet there is a medical report that states Lasix, HGH, Slin, etc abuse.

"Despite over forty years of use by athletes, many of whom are now well into middle-age, we have yet to hear reports of an epidemic of steroid-related deaths.
A review of the medical literature does not support the depiction of a serious health crisis related to anabolic steroids. "

Just because the death toll has not reached epidemic proportions does NOT mean that no one has died from steroid usage.

However.....I should retract my statement that everybody that did not agree with me are fucking tards........sorry...........

Your statement was retarded.....feel better?

I've seen some of the smartest people on earth say the stupidest shit in my time.....I won't even go into the history of that plague on society......in time.....I'll be proven right about that too & be one of the few.......the proud........the best Revisionists standing saying "you fucking tard establishment historians......I told you so".

muahahahahahahahahahahahah
Sorry

That may be true...but what is the percentage of steroid users that actually have them prescribe by a licensed physician? Also, what is the percentage of people over 40 using steroids? They are both no doubt very low.

Who gives 2 shits about the rise of fall of the roman empire and your gay buddy edward gibbons? This is the "Anabolic Discussion Board" This is a message board to discuss things related to anabolic steroids (more correctly referred to as anabolic-androgenic steroids, are a class of drugs typically taken by athletes to increase muscle mass, strength and endurance or to improve their appearance.) I thought I would explain to you what they are because apparently you do not. Also of course steroids have many good uses and can be very positive and they are perscribed to many people. They also have negative side effects, and what you must consider is do the pros outweigh the cons? here some of the pros and cons for you to "research" for yourself:

Commonly Reported Positive Effects:

Increased leanness / muscle definition
Increased muscle mass / weight
Increased strength
Increased effectiveness of training
Improved recovery rate
Euphoria
Increased aggressiveness
Increased sex drive

Commonly Reported Negative Effects:

Both Sexes:
Increased risk of mood disturbances including mania and depression
Increased risk of psychosis
Increased risk of aggressive acts which may injure self or others
Increased risk of cardiovascular disease
Increased risk of liver disease and cancer
Increased risk of kidney disease and cancer
Risk of HIV and Hepatitis B & C from contaminated needles
Acne
Bad breath
Decreased sex drive
Baldness
Water retention
Muscle cramps
Aching joints
Increased risk of muscle tears
Increased risk of tendon injuries
Increased risk of nose bleads
Insomnia
Decrease in immune system effectiveness
Infertility

Men:
Increased risk of prostate enlargement and cancer
Decreased testicular size
Gynecomastia (growth of breasts)

Women:
Increased risk of cervical and endometrial cancer
Increased risk of osteoporosis
Irreversible enlargement of the clitoris
Irreversible hoarsening and deepening of the voice
Irreversible increase in facial and body hair
Decreased breast size
Amenorrhea
Uterine atrophy

sheeeeesh......I'm starting to like you. At least you debate well. I have to go to AOL in the political rooms to get a good exercise in debating.....I practice all the time.

Ok....that was way off topic.

Anyway....let's look at it this way......before June '87 at 12:00 noon.....I was there......steroids became illegal. Damn that pissed me off. There pharmacist even called me on the phone & asked me if I wanted what was left of the anadrol.....there was a run on all the other drugs & emptied them out. I was fresh out of cash.....tears came to my eyes.

Gear was so plentiful then & cheap.....$16 for 10cc bottle of Test......$20 for 100 tabs of REAL Dbol etc. Everybody I knew was on it. The world was just downing the shit like it was water & they were in the desert dying of thirst. They were shooting astronomical amounts because it was so cheap & around. They should be dropping like flies. Nobody I knew did HGH & Slin back then.....didn't need too....bodybuilding comps didn't require it. The Paris/Labrada look was in. They were saying even back then we were all going to die......never happened. By now.....they should be kicking the bucket.......lot's of deaths.....guess what? there are none.......no not one has been related to Steroids.......it is only now that Dr's are realizing that they were wrong & we were right & now Steroid Clinics are popping up all over the damn place because those people that were in their 20's like me are now 40 & want to still look good & they make the laws & run the clinics, & realize that the death toll just does not hold water. Read your contraindications on your steroids if it has one........no big danger warning........now go look at another popular steroid's contraindication.....the Birth Control Pill......oh shit.......it will have scary stats on it of side effects & deaths per 100,000 people. Why aren't those stats on Test? because it's just not happening.

I haven't really looked into the statistics on this topic. I just want to say that before I get into an argument about the numbers. I'm just stating opinions.

You say that there have been no death's related to steroid use. But how many people, after being diagnosed with liver or kidney failure go to their doctor and tell them about their long history of steroid use. And how many on those doctors do you think record that information if given to them.

People want their private lives to remain private. If someone dies from liver failure and they record steroids as the main cause, it would most likely be all over the news. Even if it doesn't get in the news, they don't want people they are close to knowing that they used steroids.

People just don't want that! So they keep it to themselves. There has even been alot of discussion on these boards about telling people if they juice or not. If these people don't tell their wives/girlfriends they use, what are the odds that they will tell their doctor?

Whether there are records of people dying from steroids or not, it has happened. People have died from steroid usage, whether directly or indirectly.

I haven't really read up on this, although i am interested, but what happened with the mentzer brothers? I'm not saying that their deaths had anything to do with steroids, but do they know exactly what killed them? Could have been a genetic thing, seeing as they both died so close together.
