How many pairs of shoes?

Well hello there sexy :)

I have 3 pairs of shoes... literally

well and some flip flops....

Hi rachel... u lose my number or something? I havent heard from you in forever

I'm organizing my closet and decided to count. I'm at 53 if you count golf shoes, cycling shoes, etc. Apparently that's more than the average?

Tess bought 5o pairs of shoes in one day because they were on sale; It seems that shoes are crack to wiminz when combined with a sale.

She's a TV reporter in Arizona with triplet toddlers so I doubt she values shoes as highly as she used too.

No more than 30 ever. 5-7 pairs of very high end designer shoes (louboutin, etc). 10-12 mid range designer shoes (atwood, etc). Then a constantly rotating bunch of shoes that look cute but don't hold up because they aren't made as well and/or i wear them more often. I beat up my cheap shoes. I treat my fancy shoes like artwork.

I just bought new shoes tonight. Pretty excited to wear them, and the dresses I bought to go with.

I wish I could claim mine were all high or midgrade ;) post up a photo or two of the shoes and dress, sista!

this^^

I guess I could have left the part about the shoes too. I have a few more than 3 pair, but I wear flip flops every day.

Good to see you Rachel. :)

I usually keep the following:

2 Jogging - one old, one new
2 Hiking - boots and light weight
3 dress, blaque, brown, and some sort of burgundy or tan
3 sets of loafers - same
couple of flip flops
couple of sperry's
bike shoes
steel toe boots
and some sort of slip on / casual hiking shoe...

I will admit, I throw out/ give away shoes often to keep the inventory low.

How many is that.. shit. I feel like a girl.

i have more coats than shoes.. but as i say, i live in minnesota, you need a coat 8 months out of the year, it's the biggest fassion statement that people see 1st.. so there ya go..

This is what I do. It feels good to throw out or give away handbags and shoes to make room for new ;)

me too...that's why the rotating lower levels....either they get tossed, or if they are in good condition, they are given away.

I prob have 30-40 from semi-cheap to pretty high end.

Im with Nef. The cheaper ones are my everyday shoes. They get way too worn from being used so often for me to dare wear an expensive pair that often.

got damn!!

Nothing is super high end rarely spend more than $50 I get them on sales pretty much always. I don't have any super high end Sam Edelam, Steve Madden, Guess, Nine West, BCBG and Jessica Simpson.

If I bought anything high end I'd want to use them all the time I don't see the point in spending that much money if you can't enjoy them.

I have been eyeing the Ron Ron 85mm in nude and black I could grab them both with a quarterly bonus just haven't wrapped my mind around spending that much on shoes.

I lust after jessica simpsons, most very JS shoe i've come across has been just fucking awesome. my last roommate was nearing a 100 and it was a mini shoe store.

I used shoes as incentive for my big two goals for bf% awhile back.lol it was an awesome reward, one that you get to splurge on. I had to get an equally awesome dress for the shoes after i accomplished my first goal...had no choice!lol

I also have like 18 handbags and clutches and a couple backpacks. I don't even consider myself a purse gal. is that a lot? how many do you girls have?

me thinks i am too materialist maybe.lol

For me, like I said....those shoes are art to me (my high end ones). But the real reason I rarely wear them is they are not designs that go with every day clothes, and i don't attend functions that give me an excuse to dress up as much as I used to.

Why am I not surprised you love everything Jessica Simpson.

LOL shud up her shoes are actually nice the most comfy pair of work shoes I have is from her line.

Nef I got a lot of shoes that are special occasion or clubbing stuff neither of which I do that much anymore seems silly. I been thinking more of trimming things down I'd rather have 20-30 pairs that I love and wear all the time. We will see I been trying to minimize things.

Ebony I am not a purse gal either I have about the same for sure under 20. My purses are low end designer for the most part coach. I stick to really classic purses my shoes tend to be my statement accessory.

I hate shopping for shoes, it's like waterboarding. It's some twisted form of torture if you don't have "average" feet (I wear an 11 and have a narrow heel). I own:

2 pair sneakers - same style/brand (when I find something that fits I have a tendency to buy multiples).
2 pair dress shoes - both black, one flat/one heels.
2 pair sandles - Literally, $5 a pair, one step away from flip flops.
1 pair winter boots.

Not making that up. I hate everything about shopping but shoes are the worst.

My husband can walk into a shoe store, take something off the sale rack and usually find a pair that's comfortable in two or three tries. I hate him. I go to the sale rack and it looks like shit a tranny with bad taste wouldn't touch :(

That's some big feets!
Considering I'm 5'9" with a large frame no, they're not. I wear a size 9 ring, women's gloves are always too short, coats bind in the biceps or across the shoulders ... I don't live in a one size fits all world *shrug* Hell, my son, first and only pregnancy, 2 ounces shy of 9 lbs. Fucker outgrew birth to six months before he was two months old.

can't buy your bras in the kids department though, can ya, mrs. smarty-pants?? :)

No I can't even buy bikini tops at most surf stores ... at the beach this weekend saw most awesome colour bikini the sales girl was like umm I don't think that top will fit even half your boob LOL

i could walk around with you and hold the leftovers? i have big hands and, even with the calluses, they are surprisingly soft :qt:

Shopping for heels for me is a pain in the ass too, but for a different reason. I have ballerina feet - and no, I'm not talking about them being calloused and icky. I'm talking about a very very high arch that makes finding shoes that properly and evenly support my weight is not an easy task. The wrong fit and all my eight goes onto the ball of my feet, which causes a nerve down there to inflame leaving me with the feeling that I'm walking on pebbles. Sometimes the pain/rocks sensation lasts for days. So there's a few pairs of heels I can wear a long time with comfort...the rest I only wear when i know I can sit down.

my shoe sizes go from 6-7 depending on the level of arch support.

My new favorite thing is to buy my athletic shoes from the kids department.
:lmao: My stepdaughter is like that (she's 24). God, I outgrew the kids department long before I was out of elementary school ...

Have you seen a podiatrist? You might want to think about custom orthotics. Feet don't get better over time, that's for damn sure, but if your arches crash, ouch!

The answer to my nerve inflammation issue is pretty much steroid injections or getting the nerve removed. I might do it sometime in a less active future, it won't otherwise affect any sensation in the area.

My arches don't ever give me pain - I spent years and hours on point shoes...I guess special arch inserts is shoes that are closed off at the sides might help even the balance of weight, though. Something to think about.

Is it plantar fasciitis? My sister in law had laser surgery done for that a few years ago. Recovery took a while but it hasn't bothered her since.

Yeah, don't dismiss a good podiatrist. If feet are like other joints it's better to catch problems before they turn into chronic misery.

Nah, that's the heel I think. The nerves effected are in between my third and fourth toe, but the pain/walking on rocks and needles sensation extends to the whole weight bearing part of the front of my foot. It's called morton's neuroma, sort of a benign tissue growth by the nerve that only causes me problems when I have all that weight on that area....both feet have it, too. Bleh, it's honestly miserable.

The last time I walked in heels a long distance, I didn't know we'd be walking that much. I had very little between the ball of my foot and NYC pavement. We walked like 50 blocks to get where we were going....by the time it was time to head back I was in such severe pain that i could not walk faster than strolling pace if I wanted to keep a straight face, and even then I got really quiet lol, because i had to concentrate not to grimace (I was hiding the pain from my companions - my stupid choice to wear heels, no reason for them to have to suffer my bitching about it). It wasn't till four days later that the pain went away, even when just barefoot in my house. But I usually don't make mistakes like that.

Stereo - re your K message - my feet are small, wtf are you talking about? Size 6 shoes for women is tiny for my height. Which is awesome bc I never have my gf's asking to borrow my shoes lol.
