How many of you REALLY do cardio

How many of you do cardio in the offseason, I'm back and forth on this topic-do you think it can really help?

honestly, i used to not. after starting too though i notice my overall recovery and energy levels are much higher and evenm during my workouts. i find i don't run out of "gas" as soon. a moderate amount is good. just don't overdue because too much cardio is detrimental to muscle building because it lowers test levels as well as making the type-2A muscle fibers more endurance oriented at a time when your goals are mass and strength

Mike P.T. knows his shit, as a pt I never really do cardio, depends on goals and body type...

i have the genetics to stay ripped with very little cardio, but i also lift 6 days a week, heavy sessions, believe it or not lifting weights does exercise the heart...

thx bro. and lifting weights definately does exercise the heart. especially when u rest less in between sets. nothing kills my heart and lungs more than a heavy set of squats. good stuff.

or heavy DEADS...i personally only rest 1 min in between reps and superset alot

TRUE DAT.

Having said that, personally I'm a big believer in cardio, though, not just because (FOR ME!) I just "feel" leaner & less flabby, but because it's nice to be able to climb my 20 flights of stairs in my building when the piece of shit elevators are broken and STILL be able to help a hot chick with her groceries without running out of breath :)

Fuck, I'm winded going up a single flight of stairs-maybe I better start my cardio

I try to watch my diet very closely so I can do as little cardio as possible, I hate it...

genetics would seem to be the best inidcator. Some (not me damn it!) can stay lean w/out. I need to day 3-4 days at 3040 min.

true, true. Thats me right there. I can grow like a weed, but cant stay lean without cardio. I do 15 mins a day while on cycle and 30 mins a day when off. It works for me.:D

I talk about doing cardio but never seem to get around to it...but I have a pretty fasy metabolism so thats good....

Yep, I always do it. I want a healthy heart.

EXACTLY!!! People may not care now but when they get older they will. Cardio = healthy heart. Also the way cardio makes me feel overall is so much better then when I don't do it. On my last bulk cycle I didn't do any cardio and my stamina levels were so low which effected my workouts in a negative way.

It helps if there are hotties at the gym to watch while doing cardio.

I personally don't find it hard to do some cardio either before or after my lifting, I only skip it when I'm short on time.

i do cardio for about 5 minutes pre-workout.....i like to get my heart rate up to about 180....then have a kick ass lifting session..............the whole time i am lifting my HR does not usually drop below 135.....which IMO....is good enough for fatloss/cardio workout........i suggest others try this..instead of getting burnt out doing 30 minutes of straight running on a treadmil..

its not about how fast or long you run...its about keeping your heart rate up....if u can keep your heart rate up while lifting...its like your killing 2 birds with one stone......and can get the fuck out of the gym in 30-45 minutes..

I am a student, and hence i ride my bike where ever I go...
Usually I do 3 rides of 20 minutes every day.

I have only seen positive results out of this, but to be on the safe side I tend to use the bus the day after leg day....

Also I add about 100 grams of carb to my diet (compared to when I don`t ride my bike).

I have just started back on the cardio as I am nearing the end of my cycle. What a difference it makes. I am toning up and dropping some of the bulk I have put on from eating so much. Cardio makes me feel good.

ive come to the realization that im a fat motherfucker, and i wanted to be ripped for winter and it wasn't going to happen. i have horrible genetics...so in winter im always fat, and in summer i have to cut. So Starting today, till the end of summer...its cutting/cardio cardio cardio for me. I cant get cut without cardio...but fuck i hate it...

I do 30 min. cardio about 3-5 times a week. I kind of have to because it helps keep my blood pressure down.

i hate cardio i dont do it in the off season, but come cutting time im on the bike or tred mill at least once per day, many times twice

When bulking I do it just enough so I actually don't forget how to do it...lol.
