I just go by my basal metabolic rate. I went to a web site, put in my age weight, stuff like that and it came back with a number. For me it's 1600. I just try to eat that number of calories or a few less per day. At 1600, if I lay in bed all day and do nothing I should still burn more calories than I consume. I haven't done any cardio yet and if things keep going the way they are, I may not have to. Here's a link to a post I made the other day it is a page out of my diet book. I write down what I eat, when I eat it how much I ate the number of calories and protein. It helps to calm my nerves in the final stages of getting ready for a show. A few posts up from the one I have linked there is also a link to the BMR calc web site that I use.
I was 190 in May and now at 170. Less of a diet and more of a "don't go to the gym, don't eat, and start running" sort of thing.
Similar to the Auchiwitz diet I guess.
Im cutting and pretty much just eating tuna,chicken,turkey,lean beef occasionally,and two carb meals a day ,the carbs being wheat bread,oats,of sweet potatoes or reg potatoes, I dont lose fat easily,but ive lost 5 lbs in roughly a month and I feel it shows alot in my midsection
