How long you bulk for?!

I just have quit smoking for about 4 months now and am done working for the summer (landscaper) now I am back to school. I am an ectomorph and have always been slim. I have started my bulking phase and i dont know if its just diet or effect of not smoking but i am starting to get a gut for once. it seems most of the wait i gain is goin to th ebelly but overall mass has improved. How long should i keep up this, I don't want to be to fat. Should I clean up my diet maybe a bit and add maybe 60 mins of cardio a week? thanks
 
Stay away from cardio if you're bulking. If you're gaining a bunch of fat, you're probably taking in more calories than you need. If you're worried about getting fat, and you will gain some while bulking, no way to change that, you could try dropping your calories slowly until you find the point where you're gaining mass but not too much fat.
 
I've been bulking for years now. When that mystical day rolls around that I hit 300lbs I may start cutting for the first time:)
 
i plan on bulking most of my life, until i stop lifting. if i ever stop
 
Until you get uncomfortable at a bf% is usually best. Then cut til you're happy and start again, if you wanna do it that way. I'd bulk up for a while though.
