How long does it really take for your body to recover?

I been reading on the boards that you should match the time on (cycle) to the time off (recovery), meaning if you're on a cycle for 12 week you should take off 12 weeks for recovery. I know guys that only take 5-8 weeks off for recovery and their doing 10-14 weeks cycles. Is there any evidence proving that the body recovers in just a few weeks? or matching the time on is just to be safe.

I always took an equal amount of time off. No science, but it seemed to work

There is no science behind it...that is just a GOOD general rule to follow. The only way that you can truly tell if and when your body ahs fully recovered is through blood tests. If you had tests done before your cycle (and they checked out fine), then you would want the levels in a close proximatey when you have recovered.

Time off = time on is just a "rule of thumb"

You really won't know if or when you are recovered w/out bloodwork...

How exactly is someone supposed to go about having blood work done. What do you guys tell the docs?

As far as Ive known its time on=time off, if not your receptors are shot and you wil not react well to the gear your on
Thats the basis but i just finished a 10 weeker alomt done with PCT of stright liquid clomid and i;m back too it in April baby

Ive heard as conservative as
Time Off = Time On + PCT
So 12 weeks + 4 weeks PCT = 16 weeks before next cycle.

For me its more like when travel vacation and work schedule allow it, lol. In my current case its been about 6 months off.
