After high school when I went to college I got into weightlifting even more so. When I started I had forgotten what my routine was in high school so I kind of re-invented my training methods. This was about 5 years ago.
I didn't get really dedicated until about two years ago. I finally started being more serious about legs and cardio. I have also learned a lot about diet and nutrition.
In high school I was about 165. College I was about 180 and now I am almost 200 lbs. I'm only about 5'9 so I am kind of short and stocky. For the past year I have been hovering around this weight so it got me to thinking how much more I can progress naturally. I bust ass in the gym but gains are coming really slowly. It's hard to put on muscle while keeping body fat down.
What is everyone's opinion? How much more should I expect to gain naturally?

I was 17, yes 17 when I did my first cycle. I was a junior in high school, but from my freshman year to my junior year I went from 175 to 225, but I think I added a large amount of body fat. I then did a Test/Deca/Dbol cycle, and ballooned up to 260 in 8 weeks, and then cut immediately after and looked pretty good at 240.
Don't know what the point of all that was, basically, my opinion is if your training/diet is in order, and you have gained a nominal amount in a years time <2 pounds, I would say you are close to your genetic limit. That <2 pounds is LBM and not pure scale weight as well.
what does me using steroids have to do with the job i'll hold some day?? wtf dudeeddymerckx said:a simply profound and insightful post--i see greats thigs in your future--
