I rarely cheat but when I do it its only a cheat meal and its the breakfast or lunch...never cheat meals for dinner
 
Ive developed a distaste for fast/fried foods now, so I don't really cheat heavy - even while bulking, but if I feel like having some sugar, I take it post-workout when it can help me.
 
I have planned refeeds every 3-4 days during which the types of food I can eat are fairly strictly defined. Mostly they consists of glucose+glucose polymers along with very minimal fat(<10%.) I really don't indulge in anything then, although occasionally I'll eat something I like during a diet day. I simply factor it into my total calories for the day.
 
if its gonna be a BIG CHEAT than i go all out,2 tubs of icecream,cereal,6bagels.............

SMALL CHEAT DAYS are basically increase in carbs with a cheat meal
 
When I was bulking during the winter on my cheat days, I'd go all out, I'm talking about atleast 10,000 calories of junk food. Now I'm cutting, on my cheat days (minus Valentine's Day, I kinda fooked up) I'll only eat junk food once a week, and just 1 or 2 servings of whatever I'm craving that week (pizza, ice cream, chocolate, donuts, or whatever.) Damn, already miss my winter and bulking.
 
I am bulking, so it is a fine line between bulking food and cheat food, IMO. However, I try to eat pretty well most of the time. Tuna, steak, chicken, etc. When I cheat it is usually not for a whole day. I'll just do something like go out and eat a large pizza (light on the cheese and chicken, but whatever), have a couple beers and maybe some frozen yogurt or something after that.

i had steak, and chinese food:) no buffet haha

chinese sesame chicken on saturday and today london broil with 2sweet potatoes

but yesterday(saturday)increased carbs to 200

Hmmmm... why does this not surprise me! C'mon Par, you don't eat any junk food ever? Like pizza, double-doubles, ice cream... nothing? Okay now I'm getting hungry talking about all this food. And today is my cheat day - uhh - I mean purposeful planned refeed day!

Lucky you I LOVE MY FRIED POTATOES !!!!!!!!!!! wish I could eat them 24/7 :)

Occassionally, mostly for social reasons. But, I do not eat a tub of Ice Cream or an entire pizza with ranch on it. However, I will often go through 2 boxes of cereal in one evening.
 
How does one GET RID of cravings???!!!

I'm always craving sugary, chocolaty, greasy, nasty food. I dream of strategically arranged processed carbs, sugars, and saturated fats...

I am able to resist the cravings for months at a time, but give in every few months and literally binge on ice cream and pizza. Is there some way to get rid of cravings while mainaining?

Refeeds.

5-HTP is also very decent for carb cravings.
 
i can eat clean for about 5-6weeks than i feel a lil urge to cheat but not sufficient enough to go pigging out..........its cause i eat so much protein:/ i dunno hahah

but when i do pig out its when i accomplished my goals and i wanna treat myself
 
I dont cheat

Because I havent touched fast food or chips blah blah for so long that it just tastes like shit to me now.

If I feel like "cheating" I'll eat some skinless chicken breast, but thats pretty rare.

If I goto a restaurant, I eat something v.light and vegatarian like a huge salad or something, since I will have cooked my meals for that day the previous day anyway.
 
Not probably the best thing...but my cheating consists of drinking usually once a week (i know all the problems..dont need to tell me)
 
Liberator: I make your words my words... I do exactly what you do... I cook all my meals 1 day before and I carry it with me everywhere I go so I dont have to spend money with food and keep with my diet... I feel like eating fast food but I dont eat cause Im very strict but I can feel that time is passing and I like less fast food! I consider my cheat meal a big plate with rice, black beans and ground meat :)!!!
 
I'll go extremely strict for months without cheating once, then I'll get the urge to cheat and pig out the whole day. Thats what I did Sunday, burger King, pizza, all the carbs I wanted, chips, and a pint of Ben & Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk ice cream. I probbaly won't cheat again for another 2-3 months or so.

Not an option. :)
It's all about what is healthy for my body, not numbers.
If its my B-day ill try a piece of cake and then go dancing but thats about it!
Once I learned what processed food did to my body, it just did not seem as tasty.
 
*Last Summer, a "Carb Load" on my CKD meant:
1 1/2 boxes of cereal
1/2 gallon icecream
Bag of oreos
Mexican Food
Pop Tarts
Basic processed crap in extreme amounts. What I learned from this:
-You CAN get bigger and stronger on a CKD, you just won't lose any fat and possibly gain some. I went from 200 to 211 in that time. BUT, I was trying to drop fat, not bulk, so I fucked up.
*Since about mid April, I've had one carb load, which was after 4 weeks. It was very mild, consisted of:
2 Cups Oatmeal
1 Bowl Cereal
Small Slice of Pizza
Pint or 2 of low fat icecream
A few M&M's
1/2 gallon skim milk
Thing is, i hit my goal of fatloss after 4 weeks, so I jumped calories to try to increase all those fun enzyme and hormone levels so I could try to lose more, since I diet best for 6 weeks. I hit my goal after 4, so I saw nothing but benefits in a carb-up.
So when I "cheat" it is in a much better way. Also found out I'm sick of Pizza and cereal, not so much the taste but the way my body feels after eating it. Sad, coming from someone who used to live off TacoBell and Frozen Pizzas. :D

ALA is not some miracle product, no matter what people say. "Cheating" is breaking your set amount of calories on a diet. ALA doesn't make those disapear.
Also, why are you eating KFC for lunch and just having one protein shake? If that's what you're doing to lose ten pounds, you might want to reserve some land in Ethiopia.

It does. It is termed the "adipostat" and its master hormone is leptin.
 
i rarely have a cheat meal...at most i do it once a month and I'll have 1 or 2 slices of pizza (which is barely a meal when you consider my buddies are there eating 4 or 5 slices)....i never have entire cheat days.....not because i i have some great will power or anything like that but more becasue i feel WAY to guilty.....i mean if i eat a a bite of something like pizza or have one french fry, the mental nutcase in me takes over and i feel fat for days and convince i can see the difference in the mirror and that ive ruined my hard work all over ONE DAMN BITE...lol.....i do have "cheat bites" like taisting someons wings or pizza which is probably stupid because it reminds me of what im missing and keeps my craving alive....plus it makes the afore mentioned mental nutcase take over and have to do extra cardio to make up for it.....with summe hear its hard not to cheat or have a few beers but im doing ok....one thing i do is try to save drinking for special occasions.....for instace, my buddy is getting married in July and i'm in the wedding...im not haveing one sip of beer between now and then so i can celebrate that day and HOPEFULLY not feel as guilty
 
I really no longer "cheat". Now whenever I feel like glycogen is low while dieting I have a few GIANT bowls of oatbran with some vanadyl sulfate or a big bowl of whole wheat pasta. Doing this whenever truly necessary helps. It doesn't secrete so much insulin, so leptin doesn't go up as much but it also doesn't give me a sugar crash and make me feel like shit. Now that I am giving nicotine a try, it may be even easier.

Drugs like leptigen, nicotine and bromocriptine are making high GI refeeds obsolete. One can just eat low GI carbs to refill glycogen, NOT have a sugar crash (which leads to crazy hunger) and raise leptin with DRUGS!!!!!!!!!!

I feel ya man french fries are my favorite food ever!!!! Plus its so hard to not be able to eat pizza at work, i mean its like the main thing we eat there, now i have to pack my lunch o poo!!!!!
 
devouring several pieces of sushi followed by a big plate of yaki-udon or pad thai chicken is one of my favorite ways to cheat.


yesterday, I ate a whole large pizza from Pete's....:p :p :p can't beat $6.20 for a large pie
 
I have one cheat day a week. Its usually on friday . I eat whatever I want in whatever quantity I want it. Then the next day I do an 8 to 10 mile hike. I really feel like that takes care of all the cheat food I ate the day before.
 
I don't usually cheat but i've started implementing cheat days into my diet.

basically if I go out or to a relatives house, i'll eat normally in moderation and cut back on carbs if I can. Most of my lrelatives are fine with my eating habbits and prepare me special plates but sometimes they forget like last time i went and there was loads of asian foods, curries and rice. I just took a few pieces of meat from the curry and half a naan bread but the rest of the day was decent

otherwise if i'm at home i'll just have a bowl of cereal with a few slices of toast and a protein shake as a cheat meal.

admitedly though this weekend I went crazy and binged :(
 
Sushi rocks but it's so expensive


where on earth can i find all u can eat sushi??
if i ever find that place they will go bust and i will get very fat indeed
 
My cheating includes a few pound bag's of peanuts, almonds, cashew's and seeds dipped in a jar of peanut butter...

If that doesnt kill me nothing will lol.
 
hahah...if all you can eat sushi is cheating, I'm in serious ass trouble and have been cheating all my life....better get to confession.

I hate the taste of junk foods now that I've been eating healthy for so long. my only weekness is beer. so I go on a beer binge about once every 2 or 3 months and that's it.
 
im so bad, i can eat real good during the week, and on the w/e aslong as im in a controlled environment, then i go out just forget what im doing. haaaaaate it.

but my current fave cheat meal is hardly even a cheat meal.

one wholemeal pita (30g of carbs)
tomato sauce + italian herbs
low fat cheese (2.2g per 100g)
tuna or chicken or any lean meat (protein)
all the vege's i can find

10minutes in the oven, beautiful!
