How do u clean ur house?

That's kinda what I do but I'm thinking about having a seperate laundry/floor day.
 
its not clean to my standards ever. i cant keep up with 2 sloppy males in the house while Im working 10-12 hours a day and Saturdays too. I do the best I can and try to facilitate some cooperation from all the household members but it's still not sufficient in my eyes. I try not to obsess or be neurotic about it. Ive had to ease up on that and kind of accept a certain level of messy

I have a laundry day where I do all of the laundry (Sundays).

The rest gets done daily......or nightly in my case.

Having a laundry day enabled me to do laundry for my husband. Before he had to do his own because I couldnt find the time..but I always felt kinda guilty about that so it works.

I vacumn the carpets once a week and clean the floors once a week and clean the bathrooms once a week. Change the sheets on laundry day....everything else I just kinda do as I see it.
 
when my housemate is away, i clean as i go and the house is ultra clean

when he's here, i clean about 3x more and its still a mess. when he gets back, i think im going to punch him in the mouf

Laundry ~ The laundry train must never stop. If ONE day goes by without getting laundry done it gets outta control. Morning, noon and night I am chipping away at it. Steaming (heavy-duty commercail Jiffy one) is better than ironing. Quicker, easier on clothes than ironing. I'm a big fan.

Cleaning ~ Check out www.Flylady.com. What a great resource. You work out a schedule to do a "zone" a day. Remeber: clutter attracts clutter and always shine your sink (you'll get it after you read flylady.)

Misc ~ Every single day I wake up and get ready for the day. Even if I'm just staying home. I put on one of my casual cutie track suit and nikes, fix my hair, do makeup, ect. That way, if I have to run outta the house or the UPS man comes to my door I can at least look presentable :p If my DH comes home for lunch he can think I'm hot not a slob. I learned this from flylady too. This was life changing to me because I used to slum around all day and feel like crap. Now I get dolled up everyday and feel more productive. Sigh...I'm full of mind games to cope with my life, haha.

Ok...a little more than you asked for but I :heart: this topic.

Oh yeah, edited to add that I don't buy jack from that site. Only the free stuff and it's really helpful!

I wait until I am super stressed and procrastinating, then I clean everything.
I haven't been procrastinating much this semester.
I can't see my floor.
 
Ever seen Caddyshack?

I use the Carl method...

Leaf blower and a shop vac. The dogs usually take care of anything edible on the floor and If I take away their water bowls and leave the toilet seats up... Voila! sparkling bowls.
 
I usually do pretty much everything at least every other week. Dusting usually every week along with vacuuming and shaking carpets. Clean shower/sink/toilet when looking dirty. About once/twice a year I take the edging tool for the vacuum and go around the perimeter where the vacuum doesn't get to.
 
I use the dirt dog robot thing for my floors, it's amazing. I go around the edges with a little shop vac everything now and then.

The other shit I procrastinate on for a few weeks at a time.

Sunday is my cleaning day but I always do basic cleanup of the kitchen after every meal.
 
i wouldnt trust someone else to clean my house. id be too afraid things would start to grow legs. i dont trust anyone in my house, especially someone going through my stuff.

Oh my gosh! That is hilarious! I do all of the things I do for my own sanity and the rest of the family benefits. I'm so glad I'm not living in the 50's though. Although, I know I sound old fashioned.

I cook, clean and look cute but that's about it. I'm still the boss, applesauce.

BTW-I spent about 2 hours on that site u told me about, lol. Saved it to my favorites.

LOL! Totally! There is a fine :artist: art to making your man think he is in charge when you really run the show. Kidding...kind of. It's pretty much a team effort here too and we're all pretty happy in our "roles".
