How bad is regular peanut butter???

Look around for some international food stores in your area. We don't get yams over here but I went to an Asian supermarket to find that they sell them frozen. :)

Alternatively, you could get someone you know from overseas to send you some jars (although I'm not sure what the quarantine restrictions are like in Germany).

I digress... Does anyone know what the quality of the protein in ANPB is like compared to other nuts? I am aware that walnuts have trace amounts of omega-3s and cashews have slightly less fat than other nuts... but what about the quality of the protein? K for info.

Whole food's and natural supermarkets have peanuts and almonds grinders. that's where I get my Peanut butter

The problem is the taste mostly. Natural peanut butter has a stronger peanut taste. Makes me wanna eat the whole jar.

partially hydrogenated vegetable oil is the difference and this alone is why I stay away from it.........this is for the diehards.........would I say it's fine for the avg. person? Absolutely! However, I've grown accumstomed to taste...........

I LOVE comments like that.......

do a label check:

the difference?

10 cals

natty has one less carb, 1 gram of protein more

...that is the average difference bewteen all brands

I dunno but I tried ANPB for the first time this week and I love that stuff. Unlike regular PB, its does not seem so processed peanuty or something. I don't know if that makes sense but obviously everyone can taste the difference.

I use Jif creamy, you just have to be sensible in how you use it!

RADAR

After reading that report over (with a pinch of salt, it comes from the Peanut Obermeister!!!, so who knows what interests are in play...) I guess my mind set is: Anything in moderation is OK, Everything in excess is wrong...

So I converge with RADAR on his opinion... I guess I won't make it a staple, but I could eat the ocassional tbsp of regular peanut butter or swap a tbsp of flax for the pb equivalent from time to time...

We cannot serve our food... it should be the other way around
