hot italin sausage

I have not bought it yet but I saw a recipe that calls for it and I was wondering if it would be ok for a bodybuilder.

Thanks

Typically sausage is high in fat. If you can "afford" it in your diet, by all means feel free. Be aware though if you have cholesterol issues or hereditary aspects of such, dietary cholesterol can indeed be a player.

they normally make leaner versions of most everything these days.

Not a bad ratio for a CKD diet but I generally don't like anything that has more fat than protein. Growing up we had sweet italian sausage in "the sauce" 3x a week (along with spare ribs and meatballs) which gives a great flavor but not so much regarding health. Some of the turkey alternatives have fennel and pepper already in them and don't taste that bad if you want to include it in your recipe.
