Home Gym

Need some advice on setting up a home gym.

Was thinking about getting a adjustable bench, with db's good for up to 100lbs and just do supersets.

Than in the future when I got this stuff paid off and money saved. Go out and buy a squat rack and some weights.

i know here in CA there are always sales on olympic bars with 300lbs of weight (including bar) for under $200...
a full set of dumbells up to 100 is going to cost a lot more than that...
id go for the bar and a squat rack personally... there is a lot more you can do with that than a bench and dumbells...

Well bench is around $300, and squat rack is $500-700. Thats not even including 12% sales tax. So I'm almost $1000 never mind the weights. Probably be $500 worth of weights easily. So I'm looking at $2000. Be nice if I could get a loan for that, but doubt it.

In my opinion, the bare-bones basics are a good olympic bench & weights, a set of hex db's or at least a pair of db handles for oly plates, and a preacher bench or attachment. A pec deck and hi/low pulley machine is also very important, if you can get those.
