Hiit

I was wondering if I do HIIT cardio first thing in the morning and I am on the swolegenix diet to cut up, should i take in carbs for my first meal to help refil my glycogen stores or should I not?

I don't know anything about the dieting side of HIIT, but I have been reading lots on the training. I'm still confused though as to the best interval to use. What are you going to do? Have you done this before or are you just starting. I first read the Shawn Phillips program that said 30 second sprint, then 30 second jog, then repeat. He starts you at 4 minutes so 4 sprints and then 4 jogs of thirty seconds after a 5 minute warm-up. You then add a full minute one sprint and one jog every other time you do it. I was at wal-mart last night and read an article in a mens fitness mag that said 20 second sprint and 40 second jog, so I'm unclear as to what is the best routine. As for diet I've been bulking and lifting heavy now for 8 weeks and just started my nineth. I've put on 225 pounds in that time, pretty amazing gains for myself I'm an ectomorph and struggle to grow, but with tons of food and the 5x5 things are really happening. Let me know in lamens terms what swolegenix is and what you decide you will do for your diet. Good luck. I plan to start my cut cycle the first of June.

I have just started a little while ago doing a four min warmup and then from mins 4-10 I do 30 sec sprint then 30s jog followed by 4 mins cool down and then done. Im doing this routine on days that I dont lift. As for swolegenix, it is a program designed for each individual by a guy that goes by the name of SwoleCat. He knows his stuff and is truly brilliant. I have been on a plan of his for about two weeks and I have already dropped 6 lbs and lost about a good 1-2% BF so far. Its not like I was just lazy and then jumped right into training and that is why I am having these results. I have always worked out and ran but with the help of Swole's diet and training routines, I am dropping fat at a rate I thought was impossible. If your interested, check out his website at SwoleCat.com. I greatly recommend it. If you have any more questions about it just PM me.

Isn't there a limit to the amount of weight you should lose per week in order to stay healthy and avoid losing muscle mass? I'm assuming this guy knows his stuff and is aware of that right? What is so special about the diet, the food, percentages, timing?

All I can say is that he knows his stuff. Go to his website and look at some of the threads in his forum about people that are on his diet. Look at soe of the before and afters as well. I laso have lost that 6 lbs but I have actually continued to gain strength wise.
