ive beem saying this for years. leg extensions are a great quad builder. you have to use appropriate weight and ROM. time under tension is big too.
Theyre a good isolation exercise. Light weight good for a pump. i think the problem with them is too many guys like to load it up and go for gold. just imagine if you tried that on preacher curls. You would pull or strain something for sure. Same goes for leg ext.
