Hi, questions about bulk/cutting

Hi i am 16 and i do Crew, the only time we get off is during the summer. Anyway i have been bodybuilding for about 1 year now, i have been bulking for a while now and i dont seem to be where i want to be, in terms of muscle mass.
I am 6'4-'5 , 225 lbs. Anyway i am also getting fat around my mid section and getting a double chin :( . How long does it take to loose a good 10-15 lbs of fat? Should i bulk 1 month, cut next month then bulk, then, cut again? I want to be in good shape when the season starts again, but i also want to have a good deal of muscle. Also how many carbs should i have when i am cutting?

what is "crew"?

lose 10-15? depends, prolly 60-90 days the right way

how many carbs when cutting? depends highly on situation, the person, the goal...

If you are concerned of losing weight right now don't worry about bulking until later. I'd consider staggering your diet a little bit over the summer into a cut-bulk-cut cycle. By the time you reach your second cutting phase your metabolism should be high enough to shed fat nicely.

It should take anywhere from 8-10 weeks to lose 10lbs... anything faster than that you will risk muscle loss, so take it easy. So consider for the first cycle of cutting you should consume around 40-50g protein with each meal and cycle your carbs in high-medium-low days, cutting them off after 6pm.

I believe crew is another name for rowing... dont quote me on that though
 
Yep. Rowing a good cardio exercise itself. Sounds like you won't have too much trouble loosing fat when you start back.
 
Thanks for the responses, im going to go with the 1 month bulk, then 1 month cut, then bulk, cut. Anyway, i was wondering, when i cut how many carbs should i have on days that i lift and on days that i run? When i bulk i wont be doing any cardio, since i will be lifting 6 days a week. When i cut i will be doing 3 days lift and 4 days cardio. How long should i run for? Or should i do a different kind of cardio? Thank, you people have been alot of help so far.
 
I would suggest spending more time reading these boards. Check out the newbie stickies in this forum and in the Weigth training and Weightlifting Forum look at the 5x5 threads, soooo muck great info there. Maybe that will help.
