Man, me and my wife made love last night and it felt like my pecker was on fire. Dang that yeast stuff hurts it is almost feels like acid or something. I know she would kill me if she knew I posted this but you girls have got so much good knowledge on this kind of stuff that I had to ask.

Anyway she gets these pills that cost like $25 a pop that gets rid of it in a couple days totally but you got to get them through a doc and you know they charge $50 just to put her in the stirrups. Anyway is there any natural stuff that ya'll know about that makes that acidy stuff go away? Also I heard yogurt is good for women to eat to prevent yeast infection does that work? And if you have any other advice about yeast infection treatment and infections, please post.

Thanks.

I always get yeast infections from antibiotics. I've never tried the perscription pill to cure them.

Tried the OTC cream ONCE & found it did not help AT ALL. But mine always went away after 3-5 days on their own, the cream didn't speed up that time frame for me.

Spatts - I gotta go get some acidophilus since I'm not eating yogurt anymore. I did notice a *slight* imbalance down there. Is it a pill or powder? Any idea on a dose?

Never had one myself. Even when I used to be on high doses of tetracycline (some women get yeast inf just looking at tetracycline or other antibiotics.) My mother was of the belief that never sleeping in underwear would help prevent them, keep things aired out, she said.

I agree she should supplement with Acidopholus, it's a healthy bacteria her body can use to fight the yeast. You can buy milk w/it in there, and it doesn't taste any different. Yogurt contains good bacteria too. I've known a few women who had to avoid sugar and bread products like the plague because like Spatts was saying yeast feeds off the sugars, otherwise they'd have chronic yeast infections and be miserable.

Over the counter creams like Monistat or a generic version work well for me. Are you positive though that this is a yeast infection? I'm not a doctor but I've never noticed a yeast infection to be acidic. it also should not cause any odors. Bacterial vaginosis is another common infection that you might want to have your wife checked out for. Youneed to get antibiotics to treat that, for both and you and her. It will not go away on its own. Otherwise, you're going to keep reinfecting her whenever you have intercourse. I have also been told to avoid wearing undies when sleeping, like FitFossil, and I have noticed that I do seem prone to yeast infections when I consume sugar.

call me citrine (this is my husbands user name). I used to get yeast infections all of the time until I modified my diet. Stay away from beer, mushrooms, cheese, sugar, sugar, sugar.

You must have her modify the way she eats. They should go away.

I was on anavar and it did not cause any return of the yeast for me.

From my experience, its all diet.

Some things that help are plain yogurt, acidopholus, and it may sound silly....but immediately after intercourse, you should urinate...also when working out, you should wear cotton underwear....

Or no underware at all, that for you V. Anyway acidolpholis and l-bifidus capsules or active cultures in yogurt help. The balance of good bacteria to yeast most be kept in control or yeast can run rampant with fuel, sugers etc...

I really appreciate ya'lls help. But as always ya'll are always so helpful. Thanks. You chicks are pretty cool here.

yogurt always worked for me, and i am a firm believer in the cotton underwear thing too, i was told by a doc that those silky ones are the worst for encouraging infections!
