Help with Girlfriends Vaginal Problem, Serious responses only please.

My girlfriend has a sort of Vaginal Clenching problem, it is involuntary and she can't control, it makes vaginal sex extremely painful, she says it's sharp and burning pain. While I would like to attribute this to my massive penile endowment, I cannot, as I'm only 6 inches and average girth.

She has been with one guy before, who was smaller than me, and it was still painful but doable - she said it seems to have gotten worse since then.

We tried using Lube (Wet Platinum) and going very slow, but it was still not doable. I can feel a very hard, tight "bar" in the upper part of her Vagina, as I can best describe it, when I enter her with my fingers. She thinks it is psychologial and not physical problem, which I hope it is also.

Has anyone ever heard of this before or know of any resources I might be able to look at for help?

Sounds like it might be vaginismus, which is a spasm of the muscles that surround the vagina that occurs when penetration is attempted. It is involuntary, so it cannot be controlled or ‘willed away’, and it is no indication of her feelings for you.

My suggestion would be that she goes to the doctor to rule out anything else as a cause, and that she then discusses with the doctor the possible courses of action.

Vaginismus is treatable - so that’s the good news - with the use of medications, exercises, relaxation therapy and other types of therapy, and if she decides to embark on treatment then your active support will be invaluable. No doubt it will be frustrating for you at times, so it depends how much you care about this girl. The one thing that I’d say you shouldn't do would be to dump her part way through!
