Help I can't eat!!!!

So due to a "proceedure" I'm undergoing I can't eat for two days. All I am allowed is crap like tea, juice, beef broth, jello...

What is this going to do to my body? If I do this will it not throw my body into "starvation mode"? Or more specifically trigger it to start "storing" fat?

How should I deal with this? Work my calorie intake down til that day, or cut it off completely from a normal (or high) calorie intake?

What about after? Should I eat like a pig, or work my way back up to normal carbs?

Any thoughts? I can't remember the last time I went two freakin days without eating solid food!

Help!

(and yes protien shakes/MRPs are out of the question....damn!)

Two days? Don't worry, just eat what you're allowed to, then get back into it afterwards. Two days isn't going to be a sufficient time to do any real damage. It may set off your nitrogen balance though.

So your saying this is not long enough to change my body's metabolism, or "fat storage" behavior (for lack of a better term)?

How long IS long enough then?

No, I'm saying it may be long enough to set it off for a day or two (no fat loss will take place, nor will any muscle loss) but once you start eating again, another day or so should set you right back to normal. Like I said, nothing too detrimental.
