HELP !! Didn't aspirate ! What if I hit a vein????

Actually it was the Doctor (rookie) . Went for my bi-weekly cyp shot this morning. Got shot in thigh as usual. Noticed he didn't aspirate, called him on it and he said "Yeah I know I'm supposed to, hopefully I didn't hit a vein" - Fu**ing idiot!!
I guess my question is; What symptoms will I notice if he injected into a vein. There was no bleeding after shot or anything else out of the ordinary. BTW shot was 2 c/c

if you don't notice anything within a few minutes you are safe.

You would know as soon as the shot was withdrawn if you hit a vein bro. Blood would be everywhere! You are fine!

Bump.... If you injected even a small amount into blood vessel/vein you would shortly die...anyone to disprove this??

My first injection I forgot to aspirate, spent the next several hours noticing imaginarly numbness in my limbs and other symptoms of stroke. I never forgot to aspirate again!

Not necessarily true. If you hit an artery blood would be everywhere but an injected vein would most likely cause a hematoma.

Aspiration is pulling back on the syringe before injecting to make sure the needle tip is not in a vein. If it is blood will be drawn back into the syringe.
