Help diagnose my injury/pain?

Man, this has really been getting me down and hindering me. When doing curls, I have this intense pain in my forum. With my palms upward, it hurts on the underside of my forearm where the muscle meets the bone. It only hurts when I put strain on it to keep my wrist straight. I'm thinking it's like my shin splints when I used to beat up on my legs a lot running. Do you think that could be it? I've been icing it a lot and doing wrist curls and it seems to be getting less and less. Do you guys think I should just be careful, not overdo it and just keep trying to work it out? I take rest sometimes and it helps, but it comes back after a while. You help and advise is really appreciated!!!!

From what I have read it has to do with an imbalance between the flexor and extensor muscles of the forearm. A majority of lifters have extremely tight, strong flexors which overpower the underdeveloped, usually untrained extensor muscles.

Do some palms down wrist curls either standing or seated and try to keep the reps in the 15-20 rep range for all curl movements.

The best advise I can give to you is goto www.anabolicfitness.net and goto the training forum and ask Killer. That guy is a wiz at rehab. He will know for sure what the problem is and how to correct it.

Thanks bros!! I'll ask killer for sure. I'll sub in some in some palm down curls for the next few weeks to see if I can get my extensors up to par. :) Thanks again!!!
