This is probably one of the mpst true statements out there. This is why I have started to add sprints into my routine. I want to look like a muscular sprinter, thick but with great definition and relatively good cardio. I say relative cause they don't do long distance but they have great lung capacity, and cardiac effieciency....

Currently I'm 5'11" and 240lbs. I've been as heavy as 260lbs +. (couldn't lift for awhile cuz some shit went down) The last time I posted pics was like 2 years ago or something. Most people that have been around awhile have seen my pics and know who I am. Plus I've meet a few of the other MODS in person...so they know I'm the real deal. I'm more of an athlete/bodybuilder.

I'm doing the old school split right now, just getting my form down and will hopefully add a little size too :)

I've never seen Ben Johnson before, what does this guy look like?

BJ was a very muscular sprinter back in the day.

Think Race horse type frontal quads...
 
I am confused on the whole post corn. But let me see if I understand where you are coming from. Are you saying that if you want to be muscular and cut you should lift heavy and do sprints instead of long periods on the treadmill? Is that what you are saying?

I read an interview with Charlie Francis (ben johnsons coach) a while back where he said Ben would regularly squat 600 lbs for 6 reps. Dude was one strong mofo...
