my tendons are a little sore from my last workout so i'm wondering what people's experiences are
If anyone was injured (tendons, muscles) for a reason not listed here can you please post a reply stating why?

I injured my lower back from having an aggressive training partner who liked to focus on low back work. That particular workout included overhead supports, deadlifts, deadlift lockouts, standing good mornings and side bends. At the end of the workout I was bending over to put away a 100-ib plate and all of a sudden my low back got a warm sensation followed by a shooting pain and down I went.Put me on the couch for about two months and I stick to one or maybe two low back movements per session now.

Right, i only wamr up with 3 mins on a cardio machine (bike, treadmil, rowing....) and then stretch full body.....what also helps is that i stretch afterwards as well...it is just as important as warming up, to cool down, it also helps recovery by removing lactic acid out of the worked muscles!
:)

tendonitis in elbows,
bad tendonitis and rotary cuffs in shoulders,
pinched nerves and slipped disks in lower and upper back

All from the years of lifting and moving furniture(my job).
Going to physical therapy and taking VIOXX and naproxen and
getting cortizon treatments.

All at the old age of 25, but you gotta love it

Dropped a 120 lb DB on my face!@!! Broke my orbit and cheekbone. Had been out partying the night before and for some reason thought it would be a good idea to go heavy on the incline press the next day. I was out of the gym for 2 months, they had to drill a hole in my head to relieve the pressure. It really sucked.

The guy spotting me was a real idiot./

guards

yeah that makes me never want to work out again........

but the reason for drilling holes is an old civilization.......Egyptian i think........ practice called trippaning............ they did the same thing just with like sticks

after doing 3 types of rowing exercises

i popped up too fast on a pull up and strained the tendon in my brachallius on my forearm

still sucks

I have spina bifida, which means sometimes I hurt my back in the gym.... nothing really bad, as I'm pretty careful with it but sometimes I get some pain and it's usually pretty bad the next morning.

Back when I was 16 I did squats for the first time and fucked my right knee. That's the last time I let my dad show me how to do an exercise.

Somehow I hurt my neck while doing military presses, and I had to go have physio about that. When doing heavy presses, I naturally tense up all my neck and face muscles.... and something in the back of my neck just went *click* and that was that. Couldn't go back to the gym for about two weeks.

And then there's my elbow, which put an end to my boxing career. Well, wasn't really a career. But I hurt my elbow while sparring and while my coach told me to stay out of the gym and let it heal, I didn't want to lose size or strength.... so there I was doing heavy pulldowns and triceps extensions. Now it's permanently damaged.

None of these have anything to do with warming up or stretching, though.

Actually I'm injured right now...I damaged a tendon behind my knee doing hamstring curls. It causes internal bleeding which made my entire knee swell up...hurts like a bitch

Damaged my rotator cuff from going too heavy on dumbell flies and couldn't train shoulders for eight months. While I was doing the leg press my back came slightly off the seat as I was starting to push the weight back up. I felt a crack and I couldn't move at all, thought I had broken my back, but after about five minutes I gained some movement back and managed to slowly make my way out of the gym. My back was out of sorts for two weeks. I was lucky it was only a slight sprain to the back as I may not have been able to get out of the leg press machine at all if I had sprained it any worse.
