Has any one tried the protein pwder they sell at Cosco.

The stuff is like $20 for 6 lbs.Thats an awesome price and the nutritional value on it its just as good as any other protein powder with low fat.So I imagine the catch could be in the taste.

It tastes ok and mixes ok, but I feel the nutrition could be suspect. Plus, I'd rather spend an extra 10-20 bucks and get a protein I look forward to drinking.

Hey guys.
Just wondering what the nutritional content (ie: whey isolate, whey concentrate, hydrolysed whey, soy isolate, etc.) is of the Cosco brand you are talking aout, as the price seems incredibly low.

finally a question i know something about! i have the costco brand i got vanilla...the taste is whatever...the thing i don't like is only 22g protein per scoop...but i guess that's ok since you can just use more than 1 scoop :verygood: but anyways kian this is the breakdown:

1 serving: 1 scoop

calories: 120 fat cal: 15
total fat: 1.5g
saturated fat: 1g :worried:
cholesterol: 39mg
total carbs: 4g
dietary fiber: 0g
sugars: less than 1g
protein: 22g
sodium: 55mg
potassium: 170 mg

contains: whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate

but gym...i am very picky with tastes...and it's drinkable so i would consider it...doesn't taste that great with water...i've tasted worse though :verygood:

Thanks dude.

So it's a 'concentrate'. I did some checking and found that if it is the one that I think you are talking about, it is called Pro-Rated by ProteinUSA. Not the best source of protein but better than nothing. Just wish manufacturers would stop putting ISOLATE on the label when they know there is very little whey isolate in the product.

I was using it but read a few posts about it being tested and not containing what the lable claimed so went back to ON 100% whey. Used the Bavarian Choco flavor and it was pretty good. Especially with NPB.
