Hammer Strength Leg Press, Really works the glutes!

I'll bet most guys in your gym make abs a daily part of their routine!

:D

not that many women in my gym im afraid ;)

but yeah....when you see a bi guy playing with the rubber sumbells by the door of the ab room, you pretty much know whats going on in his mind :rolly:

hee hee

once the females sauna broke, and when we walked into the hanging room there was a sign that said 'women in sauna'

damn nice of them to actually make sure we could take a peek :D

I guess that my leg press is when I do seated arm over arm truck pulls...I use a lot of leg when I do them.

Doing one leg isolation on the leg press with heavy weight and then jumping over to the squat rack will give you a great burn and pump. No rest in between when you hope over. That is when you find out how much you can endure pain.

My routine is leg press over to squat then back to leg press and back to squat.

I do 4 sets on each station. After this you will be lucky to walk straight. Then go with the leg x-tension, leg curls, standing calf raises etc....

You will feel it for a few days, the only cure is to hit them again in a few days.

This is not overtraining?

I don't know if this counts as overtraining, but I think it's a bad idea. IMO, to get the most out of squats, they must be done first, when you are fresh, and never supersetted. Squats are already the most compound excercise you can do, maybe next to deads. So why superset them? Supersetting, IMO, is for isolation excercises only.

I don't think this is over training for me, everyones body responds different without a fact.

I work my legs out every 4 days. In between I use the stair mill, which gives me a great calf burn and not to mention a great tone on my thighs and legs all around.

With this combination I have gotten my legs more beef!!! Changing it up helps me a lot.

I do start with squats then jump over to the leg press. Sometimes I just squat and cut out the leg press and substitute something else in like, isolated leg xtensions.

The thing when I do squat and leg press at the same time my squat weight is not as heavy because I am more fatigued in my legs.

Without the leg press I can squat an easy 420. With the leg press I don't go pass 270.

Sometimes I just cut out the squat for the week and do the leg press and that is my baby where I can really rack the weight 1260lbs. I don't always lift heavy I always go for more intensity then weight, I gain more strength this way and able to put on more weight by going nice and slow, increasing my reps and sets and taking less time to rest in between.

Works for me.

Cheers.

How true. I will try a little of what you and GT suggested. I definitely appreciate the tips.
