Gym VS Skin problems

I know we are "suppose" to remove make-up before any workout, but I train after work and I don't always remove it. So I tend to have more breakouts! Even if I workout without make-up, my skin is more prone to have zits.

Any of you have the same problem? Do you ALWAYS remove your make-up? Any tips for me?

The gym gets my body in shape... but my skin is taking a beating!

Thanks...

I never remove my makeup before I workout, but luckily I've been blessed with clear skin. I really don't have problems - even when I sweat a lot. The only time I may break out is when I'm PMS'ing, and even that is rare. I did break out a little recently, but I believe that was due to the addition of an OC into my life (Centchroman).

Is this a recent problem or an ongoing problem? If it's a recent problem, it could be your cosmetics.

It's an ongoing problem. I had the same problem years ago when I was training. I stop training for a few years (got fed up of the lifestyle) got better skin. Then started the gym again 2 years ago... back to my skin problems.

I knew it was a silly question even before I posted it... but I was hoping someone would tell me their secret to better skin! LOL!

I'll stop complaining now... and will try to take a better care of my skin. ;-)

Thanks for your reply...

Hi I just read your thread and I have the same problem. Sometimes I forget I have the makeup and and there ends up being sweat, mascara and foundation everywhere. I started to bring a couple of Oil of Olay foaming face clothes in my purse. I put like 4 or 5 in ziplock bag and take them with me so when I am stuck at the gym in sweats and makeup I can get it off fast. They even work for mascara and eyeliner and they are cheap. You just wet them and wash and then toss. I feel like a commercial, but they are great little things.

PINK: yeah!!! True!!! I have those! I usually used them to travel, but I could pack a few in my gym bag. I feel silly of not thinking about it sooner! ;-)

JJ: I really really need a course on how to use to search option here! Thanks for the URL. It's pack with info I was looking for! Thanks a million!

the travel pack make up remover from Ponds, (or other brands have them too) are really convenient. They should help. I dont always remove my make up either, but if you have problem skin its always a good idea especially because you are sweating!

I'm another makeup towelette remover user...works like a charm and easy to just throw in your gym bag!

I make sure that I wash my makeup off before a workout.. Or else it tends to clog my pores. And after a workout I always make sure i wash my face with an deep pore cleansing face scrub.
If i do it right after I don't seem to have many problems. Then I make sure i moisturize with something that doesnt' clog pores so that my skin doesn't dry and out and look just as bad.
