God shoulder injury sucks!

And am supposing my only choice is light duty. Not terrible hurt, but I will have to slow down. Just when I was starting to hit it heavy.

Which part of your shoulder did you injure and how? After I strained my RC it was at least a month or 2 before upperbody lifts were comfortable to perform again. DB bench still scares me (its how I injured it).

Should be some good shoulder rehab posts over on t-nation, if no one else posts em I'll search for em later.

Just overexertion I suppose.........I don't really know if it's torn but let's put it this way: infinite reps seemingly with 135 on bench for a warm up has turned to a grueling set of 10. A lot of pain coming from the tricep as well. This has happened before, just been a long time. I'll get over it, im just pissed.

The hammer strength wide chest, should have known better as it tore my OTHER shoulder back in '05

Terrible machine, but it's the idiot who uses it who needs the slap :)

RS, just try to keep bar work to a minimum, there's a guy over at EFS with a trashed RC who benches once a month and while his max single's dropped his rep work hasn't suffered.

Using the DB's is a much better idea for your 'meat and potato' sessions.

Cool. Well it feels much better today. I think I will be ok, it was a combo tricep pull and I was having a hard time telling where the pain was coming from, both acutally.

I can rotate my arm 360 with minor discomfort so I think this week I will just take it easy and see where it gets me.

I would say the main culprit has been an increased workload. I started taking some super energy pills(not steroids) and have been able to do a lot more and I don't think I was ready for it. I went from benching heavy 1x week to 2x week with 2 full tricep workouts weekly as well. Can't handle it. Obviously.

i know where ur coming from bro, i fucked up my ac joint about 2yrs ago, went through rehab and all, didnt do much for me, went to bone dr he said i needed surgery, fuck that, so he gave me a shot and i didnt even lift for about a year, it did get better, but even now if i try too bench anything over 245 i start to feel that muther, so i just try to stay around 225 for 6 to 10 reps.
