About 6 years ago I stopped lifting & recently, for the last 2months, I've gotten back into it, but I want to do it right.
I've been reading a lot of posts and have adjusted my eating habits to keep my metabolism kicking in. The question that I have is, like everyone else, "am I eating enough and am I eating correctly".
My overall goal is to lose the fat & gain muscle mass while being well defined. I'm 5'10" and have been steady at 200 pounds & have been noticing gains.
My eating habits right now are:
6:30 a.m. - Protein drink & vitamins
9:00 a.m. - Granola bar
11:30 a.m. - 1 Sandwich (ham or turkey & cheese, no mayo or anything), small bag of chips, yogurt, carrots
2:00 p.m. - Granola bar
2:15 p.m. - 5g creatine - Chewable tablet form that's about the size of a hockey puck & tastes like dirt.
3:15 p.m. - Gym
6:30 p.m. - Chicken, fish or something high in protein
Now it seems like a lot of people are recommending a protein drink after a workout & before bed. Which would be more advantageous? Also, should I substitute the granola bars with something higher in protein? TIA
