As BBers we all know (anyway we should know) the importance of a proper diet
...and it usually (in most cases actually) means a strict diet : we know what to eat, what to avoid, when and how to take all the nutrients we need, either to gain some lean mass (w/o too much fat) or to lose fat (w/o losing too much muscle)
Unfortunately the best foods (as for the taste) are not the best (in a BBing's diet point of view)
So, should we only eat those usually tasteless (if not worse) foods just to follow some guidelines ?
Certainly NOT
Because pleasure is part of the success
If you realy want, crave for some crappy foods, just do it (I mean eat them) !
Not too often of course, but you have to listen to your body when it asks for some sweets or fat for example
Since the pleasure of tasting fine food increases serotonin, and serotonin increases GH release, make your own conclusion ....
Restriction leads to frustration
... and a decrease in motivation, less energy and its consequences in the gym
[If you go too low with carbs you don't feel good. Some people can handle it and some can't. There's a tremendous individual response and you really need to listen to your body. Sometimes you do need more carbs than other times]
I think that too many of us get excessively anal about diet and training and want things to be precisely calculated, and that doesn't always work well.
Listen to your body !
