I swear these Honda engines can surviveon cooking oil, I think I'll try it.

my accord had around 250,000 on it when i gave it to my pops a couple of years ago. . .it's probably pushing 300k now and it doesn't burn a drop of oil. . .damn fine automobile. . .

Good luck finding a "J" vin'd Pickup Truck being sold in the US..

Tacoma/Tundra = US
Frontier/Titan = US
Mitsubishi Raider = Dodge/US
Honda Ridgeline(if you can call it a truck) = Canada

Who else did I forget ?

IMO, its more about where and how well the vehicle was "Engineered" and then how prevalent Pride, Quality, Worker/Mgt relations and Six Sigma processes are in the assembly process. Not where it was done..

And IMO the Asian brands seem to do these things better than the American ones at their US plants.

Yeah a wp failure at 47k is far too soon, but that's really a minor part. It's not like a connecting rod snapped or something.

I had a Dodge Stealth Twin Turbo once (then a Mitsu VR4).

Awesome car. Eyecatcher. Sports Red. 18" rims. 320hp. Turbo Timer. Greddy Exhaust. RPS Clutch. Eibach Springs. 15g turbos. All the works. AWD. The thing was just god awesome and fun to drive. Women would have orgasms riding with me as I hit curves at 60mph without a flinch. 1/4 times? Oh yeah.

I also bought a beater Toyota for everyday driving. Cruise, Good Stereo, Power Windows, A/C. Good to go.

Used the Turbo on weekend trips. And the Toyota for everything else.

Life was good. Insurance wasn't bad (2nd car, low miles). Minimal repair costs (VR4's have high repair costs). And I sold the VR4 later for good $, cuz miles were low.

I did the same later with a 4x4.

I only have one car now. Don't drive as much. Don't need a sports car. But you get the idea. There are alternatives if you NEED that awesome domestic powerhouse Mustang Cobra or Saleen.

:p MDX :p

Badass fucking ride. Love that shit!

My f150 has around 100k more miles than your truck, split between highway and off road.

All I have had to replace are worn out tires and brake pads.
