I know a guy that's involved in those International AIDS Connferences as a meeting planner and attends all the events. After spending their days in 'conference' strategizing AIDS prevention and stuff; they retire back to their hotels in the evening and have drug fueled barback parties. I was dumbfounded when i learned this.

I suppose there's no way to stop it. There will always be irresponsible people like that who don't care about others' well being. I want to say that all these people could just be wiped off the face of the earth but that's wishful thinking. It's like the war on terror. Never ending. the last time I was in a gay bath house was over 20 years ago; now i'd have to wear my shoes, shorts and carry lube, rubbers; almost need a fanny pack nowadays.
