when i make protein shakes i use about 50 grams of protein and sometime i get some gas...is there a supplement (on the cheaper side) that i can take to help my stomach better digest the protein??

I've heard ginger root can help with the gas problem...haven't tried it myself...

You can buy ginger root tea or ginger root capsules at any health food store...
 
You may be lactose intolerant if you're mixing your protein with milk or using a whey concentrate which has a lot of lactose. You can take digestive enzymes(lactase I believe) or switch to a more expensive Isolate. I'm lactose intolerant and I use a Milk Isolate and Lactose free milk, no problems now. BTW, you can get a good milk isolate from the Protein factory for $5.99 per lb.
 
Try chewing the protein shake before swallowing. I know that sounds stupid, but it is suppossed to work. The reason it works is that it allows your body to digest more of the protein by breaking it down beginning in your mouth when enzymes are released by chewing.

that has got to be the weirdest idea i have ever heard but i wil try it...see it makes sense because enzymes break down food in your mouth but the enzyme that works in your mouth (i forget what its called) but its breaks down starches...but well see...thanks man
