Full body workouts

Ive been training for quite some time now, always splitting my muscle groups to different days as most do...can anyone tell me if id benefit from doing full body workouts, how often a week and for how many weeks..to see if i could grow some more? Thanks

You could as a switch up. Can do a 5x5 approach 3 times a week. It can be very affective for overall size and strength. Would say do it 4-6 weeks and decide from there what you wanna do

Full body is good for endurance atheletes. If you want to get jacked do a 3 to 4 day a week split. If you put all your energy into squat, how are you gonna have energy left for bench, dl, ohp, rows, pull ups, leg press, and core work? And any iso moves you wanna do?

I actually kinda liked it one lift is usually emphasized a day. And perform other ones but often in different rep range as deloading days. If do it more along those lines is good to push past a plateau but can overtrain easily

I agree with all the responses before my post here. Full body is a solid way to go for sports since you hit the entire body each lift session and then the other days you train in your specific sport. With this approach, you'd hit the weight room anywhere from one to three times a week.

If you're into getting a specific body look, I,e, body building, I don't think you'll find much value in full body work outs other than a change of pace every now n again just to shake things up a bit.

5x5 is a great program and it pretty much full body workouts... just mostly core lifts...
mod and fri you bench and squat
wed you deadlift and row...
very simple, very effective...
in reality almost any training program can work... muscular gains are more about diet...
lol @debating rep ranges... just pick up heavy shit; repeat... keep it simple...

Thanks guys i'll take all ur info on board and try work out something that suits me, ive just never tryed full body before and it would be nice to change up a bit, im 16.2 stone at the moment..not too sure what that is in lbs off the top of my head, body fats pretty low, im just looking to build more muscle and grow from here maybe sit at around 16.7...16.9 in that region with less body fat. Will be tough but im up to the challenge
