For what Reason Did you guys start training!?!?!?

With me also it was the fat thing. Everyone I met that I hadnt seen for ages all said I was putting the weight on. Even my parents kept commenting on it to me thinking I was not bothered. I was depressed as hell for month or so and kept on saying "ill diet next week" or "ill join the gym next week". I knew I was getting fat and I kept saying those 2 things for a few years up to that point. Anyways, it all came to a head when I went to Tenerife. I looked like a bloody beached whale lay on the beach soaking the sun... those pictures that were taken motivated me to get in shape. That and the plethora of attractive gals strutting along the beach (WOW).

I weighed about 15 stone then and that was about 5 months ago. My bodyfat must have been around 30-35%.

Now im under 13 stone and according to the callipers about 16-20% bodyfat. Still got some ways to go. I managed to put some muscle on AND loose fat which was good.

Im now at the point where ill probably post some before and after pics so u guys can see the transformation:)

Because till my 15 years my older (but smaller) brother was beating me every day...

He was frustrated that his younger brother is taller...

few years ago when i was 17-18 , I had finished highschool but missed a few credits , I only had night classes so my life was pretty much boring and besides computer games and hot fudge sundea I didnt have much else to do.

Lost contact with friends and became a loner , I eventually got to 255 pounds at 6.3. I didnt look obese by any means , my kungfu teacher use to to make a reference to me that you dont want to pick up a fight with a guy like me ;)

but I knew I was fat , I had a lot of blubber and I didnt have much energy.

I picked up weights because I wanted to have something to do and to look better and have more energy. Now I havent looked back , been doing it for 1 year , 3 times a week every week.

in retrospective , I did alot of shitty exercises when i first started but thanks to the net I got some education in weightlifting and how the anatomy works.

seriously the net is the greatest fucking thing out there , just how were people supposed to learn how to do shit right ? My gym is full of people that only work beach muscles , maybe 3 hardcore ppl. Almost no ones does squats......without the net and in an environment like that I doubt I would have went very far with my first weightlifting exercises. Now I am at 200 but ill start swimming first and go to 190 or 185. :mix:

i'm only 18 and i've changed the way of life. in junior high, i was fat. about 5'9 190 all fat. i would get picked on much like a lot of people that posted their stories. i used to get shit like, "damn wes, what size bra do you wear" and comments like that, and i would take it. i wouldn't take my shirt off for nobody. i used to go to fast food restaurants and eat like six or seven cheese burgers. 8 grade i moved to hawaii. i homeschooled so i didn't have a social life so i really didn't care because i didn't have anyone to impress. freshman year rolled around and i followed in my brothers footsteps and joined the wrestling team. i wrestled at the beginning of the season at the 189 weight class. by the end of the year, i was down at the 140 class. i looked very sick at that time because i was so skinny. i had stretch marks on my hips because the popped out of my skin. the coach kept pushing me to drop weight when i didn't have any to drop. i would starve myself for a couple days before a tournament so i could make weight. sophomore year, i quit wrestling in the middle of the year because i beat our varsity guy in the 140 spot but i didn't get to wrestle the spot because he wanted the other guy in the spot because he was older. junior year, about the middle, i started to lift weights. i was about 6 feet at this time. i'm a very hard gainer. i am now out of high school and at 6 feet 175, i'm not big by any means compared to you guys. i am the biggest person in my family though. i've came a long way, but have a long way to go. with my new found friend, anabolics, i can now achieve my goals.

Yep wrestling will do that to you, conditioning is ridiculous, i wrestled in hs 180-189 as soon as i finished highschool i went to 210 because of the diet shift, and it wasnt fat , a few laters here i am at 225 :chomp:

yea, conditioning was just nuts with our team. our team was state champ material. i could have taken states by my senior year. i guarantee it. i hate my coach with a passion.

In 10th grade i was wrestling on one of the best hs teams in town that year, we had like 5-6 guys win state and a few 2nd :D and 3rd places, my god bro won state 3 years in a row then got 2nd senior year and got all cracked out so we dont talk
