6000 + 1 years

Lololololol

There's nothing in scripture that says the earth is 6000 years old. The reference to the 7 days that God created the earth are not literal 24hr periods as some seem to think, which is where the notion that the earth is 6000 years old comes from. It's simply not true.

The "days" represent creative periods. The duration and time they took to complete are undefined.

So, we don't really know exactly, but scientists calculations of 4+ billion are generally accepted by LDS as a decently accurate.

LDS embrace science more than you'd think.

Nowhere is the actual age of the earth or the universe mentioned in the bible, however you could still hold to a literal 6 day creation and still be an Old Earther as they're called. I'm sure you know that but I'm just saying. You can believe in a literal Genesis creation account and still not believe the universe was 6k years old. I've never actually met ANYONE who thought the universe was 6k years old. Never.

We're here to exploit and rape the earth, procreate and populate. Nothing more, nothing less.

If that's what you choose to believe, then that's fine. I'm glad we all have the ability to choose for ourselves. That's the one thing I believe God cannot remove from us is our ability to make our own choices.

At least you don't ignorantly mock a religion you have no context or understanding of like redscam the ef cuckhold TM.

If you knew and understood the doctrine of God and our relationship to Him, you would realize that this is technically not anthropomorphic at all, because we are children of God and he is our father, and we are of the same species, only we are mortal and he is not.

God placed his children (us) here on the earth so that we would gain earthly experience and prove our worthiness to be an heir in his kingdom with Christ.

We are not "humanizing" anything non-human, because we are literally children of God very literally as you are the son of your father and mother who brought you into this world.

As much as you say I am humanizing something non-human, God is an immortal human perfected in all attributes of knowledge and righteousness (technologically advanced beyond our current understanding if you will), and we are (at this point) potential heirs to God as his own kin, mortal of the same line in an earthly probationary period, who will also become immortal, and if judged worthy take place in his kingdom as an heir.

It is very personal and important to understand who we really are and what we're doing here on earth.

I actually agree "in spirit" with most of what you actually posted here, except for the part where you are in denial of anthropomorphizing god. I know this all started millennia ago and we seem to not have been able to drop the habit...but still, believing god has a form like ours is believing in a lesser god and place, not our real home. Under normal circumstances I would have loved to expound on this and have a deliberate, spirited and most importantly "respectful" discussion with someone. However you've decided to indulge in the rampant ngr fgtry here so u will just have to somehow manage to move on and live your life despite never having been blessed with my otherworldly sagaciousness.

I'm not anthropomorphizimg God if we are of the same species to begin with.

Jesus was a man, a human. Jesus claimed he was Jehovah. Jesus ressurected, showed himself to the apostles and even ate with them, and proclaimed that he was not a spirit, but had a body of flesh and bone. Luke chapter 24.

God and man are the same species and if you are to understand this as literal, which it is, then it does not make God lesser at all. His godly attributes are in no way diminished. It actually demonstrates and shows us how important we really are.

We are not just lowly creatures with more intelligence than other animals. We are God's crowning creation, and we are the sole purpose for why God created the earth in the first place. We are his children, literally, and are meant to be heirs in God's kingdom with Christ.
