food for endurence

Anyone know what foods or supplements are optimal for endurence (high reps 15-30)
I really feel I need to up my endurence so I am combining it into my workouts and was wondering what foods and sups are best. I think Creatine which I just started is probably more for strength not so much for endurence, correct? Also in this case are carbs are more important than Pro?

If your losing your energy in the middle of your workout I would suggest a drink like gatorade to replenish your energy.

I've heard bad things from athletes that I've known that used creatine. They had muscle cramps and the bloating didn't help much either. Generally athletes do need more carbs for energy. I doubt any of the Olympians are on the Atkins diet. ;)

I'm not exactly sure what it is you're looking to achieve though... speed? lean muscle? cardiovascular endurance?

I'm looking to be able to do 15-30 reps with more and more weight, not speed so much. Just want to be able to build up a higher endurence on exercises where lactic acid is a factor...

Low GI carbs like oats should help

Thanks, so if I understand correctly, carbs would get me towards my goals more than protein and creatine would in this case?

I would continue with the creatine, just make sure you drank a lot of water with it. You could mix it with carbs pre workout too.

You need both creatine and carbs pre-WO and proteins and carbs post WO

I think a lot of this is going to be conditioning. I used to try and hit sets of 5 about a year and a half ago, then tried doing some sets of 15 a few weeks later. Even with rediculously light weight... I was having problems.

Creatine and oats will help a bit, but you really need to condition your muscles so they are both trained to lift that many reps, and have a higher lactic acid threshold.
