Hi there ladies.

This is going to be my journal to the end of this deployment. As of today (November 26, 2006) I have 50 days left in this country. There are too many temptations around here and I need to start to make myself more accountable again. I am going to list my goals/plans to attain my highest level of fitness in 50 days. Bascially I need to keep hitting the weights hard and clean up my damn diet. Now for the plan of action:

Weights
Mon: back/chest/calves
Tues: quads/glutes/bis
Thurs: hams/glutes/tris
Fri: back/shoulders/calves
*I also do a pullup workout with the guys every Tuesday and Thursday.
*Abs will probably be some sort every weight day.

Cardio
*4 days per week utilizing the row machine and eliptical (our treadmills got fried in a power surge)
*I am also going to include interval workouts that I do with some of the guys and I am also aiming for one hard 3 mile run per week to see if my time decreases.

Supplements
*glutamine - per direction on container
*protein powder - when needed
*guggul bolic (metabolic regulator) - starting w/ 1-3 times a day upping to 2-3 times a day
*multi - daily
*calcium - daily
* B12 - daily

Diet
*as clean as possible with cheat days being the days I have my 24 hour duty (which should only be 3 more times before I leave)
*aiming for P/C/F of 40/30/30 or 50/30/20
*I am going to avoid sugar because it triggers binges
*cycle calories throughout the week from 1500-1800
*7 liters of water per day minimum

Weight goals
bench - 150 lbs
full squat - 160 lbs
curl- 35 lbs
pullups - 10 unassisted
bodyweight (currently ~150, goal of 138)

So ladies I am off again. The plan is to journal in here everyday what I eat and when and what my workouts/cardio are. I would like this to be my motivation to eat better and to help pass the time before I head out of here
.

The goal is to eat more than that but I just wasn't hungry yesterday, maybe because I had been eating a ton more than that for the past 2 weeks and it's still all sitting in my stomach waiting to digest. :p

We had this lovely new chow hall right across the street from work but that only lasted 2 months until it burned down. Now it is a pain in the butt to get to the other chow halls out here and the food is so blah.

Diet for the rest of the day was down the toilet again. I let the stress around here get to me and reverted back to my old ways of binging for comfort. We also lost our Internet capabilities until 8:30am on the 4th.

I am going to try and attach a picture of us decorating our Charlie Brown tree in the front of the building. :)

Ps. Why so much glutamine?
I was following the directions on the container to take 4 tsps per day for the first 5 days to load the muscles. Sounded odd to me but then again I don't make these things.

If you get enough protein you dont need glutamine. If I use it isnt only when my muscles are really sore

jack knife (3x35)
side bends (3x15 ea side) 35

Now I need to admit to something here to keep myself on track and accountable. I didn't post totals for last because after I ate my last posted meal I ended up binging and eating a whole lot more crap. The totals ended up being 4,167 calories (128 g fat, 587 g carbs, 202 g protein). Not something I am too proud of but I hope that by putting this all in here I am going to force myself onto the right path. The reason I haven't posted food for today is because I ended up doing the same damn thing again. The numbers for today are even higher and more embarassing than yesterday's, and I am still debating on whether or not I need to put them in here as well to further ridicule myself into doing what I know is right and what my body needs.

All right, enough about that. Today's workout was EXCELLENT!!!!! My partner and I were sweating our asses off in our little wooden shack of a gym and it was almost cold enough out there that you could see our breaths.

Nice workout, girl!!

Are those tuna steak things any good? I can barely eat canned tuna any more. I'm just sick of it. :lmao:

I like them so much more than regular tuna. I have eaten tuna (and more than one can a day) almost every single day for a year straight. But I don't have too many options so I am stuck with what I can get.

Have a good weekend lady!!!

I told her not to send it so of course she did. I love her to death but she has the mentality that she needs to take care of her children and if that means she has to fatten them up then she will. my dear mother

my mom is the same way. she bakes. oi.

JL, you are doing so well with consistently logging! There is no way I could be around chocolate pb either :chomp: I had some raspberry swirl pb in my fridge and one night after eating a quarter (or half?) of the container at one sitting and feeling quite ill, I had to toss it out :FRlol: My mom is the same way too - she is all about fattening up her kids in the name of love. They mean well :)

Do you live in NJ? For some reason, that sticks out in my mind. If you do, you're not too far away from me!

LOL, sooooooo true. My mom forced some rice cripsie bars on me, nothing I could do but oblige........and eat about five to show my sincere appreciation. :chomp:

My daughter is in Culinary school to become a pastry chef. She said the stuff I have in my cabinets & fridge is "sheer blasphemy" and "utterly grotesque!"

I told her I'd be happy to look up a receipe for "tofu cookies" if she wanted me to and she could take it to her instructor. Hehehehe she didn't think that was very funny. ;)

How are you doing today?! How's your weekend? How did your final go?

Your diet looks pretty good, even with all the "grrrr"-ing. :) I'm sure you're doing just a fine job -- hey, it could be worse, right? Just think of all the holiday pounds you're missing out on. :)

I'm off work for two weeks so I'll be on the boards more for a little while! Just thought I'd say hello! :wavey:

Thanks girl, I need to get this diet in check. There is a lot of sodium in those almonds but they are a nice change from plain ones every once in awhile.

Hey girl, enjoy those 2 weeks off from work. The finals went well, especially since they were basically open book. Holiday pounds actually sound good right now, it's a little depressing being over here for Christmas twice but I know there are others that have been here even more than that so I can't really complain.

Have a great weekend T! :wavey:

Ahhh hang in there hun!!! THis year I won't be spending Christmas day with my family either, but we are getting to have it a few days early so I am gonna head home (well not home anymore, but back to TX ;) ) for that...

Thanks girl, I wasn't trying to sound all down and out and depressed, especially since my workout partner just came in and told me that his wife wants a divorce. I feel so bad for the guy.

Oh my gosh, how AWFUL -- poor guy is right.

I'm glad you're hangin' in there, lady, and that things are still decent with training and diet. I laughed when you said a few holiday pounds sound good right now -- odd how 1 or 2 extra doesn't seem such a bad price to pay for indulgence, eh?

I need to step away from the food and just focus on the 24th and 25th... Gotta stay focused! :chomp: I mean :qt:

Hi James!
I will be alone for Xmas( In Mexico we have dinner on the 24th and evryone leabes town on the 25th actual Xmas day)..ALONE so we can think of each other

Okay, Jamie, Flor, and Roonytunes...virtual Christmas at my house...but we shall eat pizza, drink beer, and decorate with lights causing an overload which will plunge the Black Hills into darkness, then we shall plunder...:D

Can I come to the pizza/beer virtual-fiesta? :arty:

Wow, we lost our Internet connection for a day or so and I come back and I see all this love. You ladies are the best, thank you!!!

I do have one up on you guys though because my "gym" is open all day everyday :)
