Fiber One cereal. Good God....

Ok so has anyone tried this Fiber One cereal? Per 1/2c, it has 15g of fiber in it, and zero sugars. And it actually tastes pretty damn good. Especially w/ a packet of equal in it.

Well, I've been eating like 15 egg whites for breakfast for the past few days, and then I had this Fiber One and had 2 bowls of it, which would be about 5 servings total (I couldn't help myself). That means 75g of fiber. Let me tell you, people.... egg whites and Fiber One do NOT mix! WHEW! :sick: I almost passed out...twice. I took the BIGGEST fucking dump I've ever taken in my life (a double flusher!), and then 20 mins later, I took another monstrous, gargantuan dump (again, a double flusher)! I feel like I'm king of the world right now. If anyone wants to take a huge monstrous shit, I'd suggest Fiber One. :garza:

Now, my question... is this healthy??

I found this on the web, don't know if it's true, though.

Problems in excess:
There are some concerns that phytate, which accompanies dietary fiber, will decrease the absorption of certain minerals like iron, calcium, magnesium, and manganese. Most long term studies have not confirmed this danger. Very high intakes of isolated sources of dietary fiber can prevent adequate intake of other nutrients and may, in rare instances, lead to intestinal obstruction or volvulus of the colon. Most untoward effects have been traced to inadequate fluid intake with consumption of large amounts of fiber.

I eat it all the time, theres no simple carbs in it and it tastes damn good. I like mixing 1/2 a scoop of chocolate protein in to the milk, makes it taste like a chocolate cereal and adds protein.

What is the breakdown of carbs, fat, protein and calories per serving? It sounds good- might have to go get some to try later!

Ive been touting this cereal here on EF for Months! Its sweetned with aspertame, fibrous as hell, and has a very loeffective carb count. Try it w/ a low or no sugar protein powder instead of milk, you can have cereal, retain ab definition and have carbs and an effective 9gr per 1/2 cup.

I checked this stuff out when I went to the store last night--looks EXACTLY like the stuff I feed my rabbit.

I had to pass on it. I'm regular enough as it is...

To avoid the effect of pyhtates in spinach etc have a little citrus with them, few slices of orange etc.

Unprocessed wheat bran in your oatmeal is also a lot of fibre. All Bran by Kelloggs is 17% SUGAR.

All Bran by Kelloggs = 74 G.I
All bran with extra fiber = 51 G.I
forsted flakes by Kelloggs = 55 G.I

G.I = Glycemic index

i always mix forsted with all bran with extra fiber without any side effect they are low G.I
