I worked from 7am to 1pm in downtown San Diego at a homeless shelter.
Started the day making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches... I made about... 300-400 of them... (think about that for a minute).
Then I helped some 4th and 5th graders with math problems.
Then I served coffee and milk to 1200 homeless people.
It was TIRING, I wouldn't have thought that, but being a desk jockey during the week I wasn't used to standing around and what not for so long.
It was a good thing though, met some very interesting characters, I am going to try to make this a regular thing for me.
